Status: online 		I have a built and flying 40% Carden Cap, and I dont have any plans.
It flies with some downtrim and I would like to start working on why?
I know it can be either incidence or engine thrust, so I'm starting with the lesser evil being the engine.
My questions are these;

1. What is the stock recommendation for engine thrust, up/down and right?

2. What is the best way to get a base centerline with a built plane?

3. What are you guys using to measure engine thrust?

I have someting I bought years ago (see Picture) but can't find the instructions, nor do I remember who made it at the time.
There are no markings on it so I can't search the web for info.

Start by setting the CG first, then move on to engine thrust. The easiest way to determine your CG is by the mount of down elevator required when flying inverted. Once the CG is where you want it check engine thrust by checking up lines.

BTW, I see you're in new jersey. If you'd like we have an imac contest in easton, PA this coming wekend which you're welcome to come to and if imac is not your thing you can come and fly with us on friday.
