well I dont know if it's that or not,,,maybe it's not getting that hot but pushing it back,,see they ae pushers and maybe it's just pushing it against the fuse,,I just slide it in there there is no other thing holding it.

I Dont think it gets that how becasue I only fly it 1/2 throttle and less and most of the time it;s just gliding!!!

Oh... now THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST VIDEO I'VE SEEN THIS YEAR! Very intense, Very Cool!!! You did something I wanted to do... catch the Easy Star upon landing! BTW, I really like your style in video editing! I'm tinkering with Blender and man.. it's a big learning curve! So far I managed to modify someone else's work, like the 20th Century Fox or the Walt Disney intro, so how did you make your WKA intro?

One more thing... glad you like your new servo! Mine has been acting funny last night on the bench so I have to investigate what's up with it!

well thanks,,, we had lot's of fun that day,,,I went out yesterday again to another field with another friend and we both the FPV flying but even we were using different channels we both were getting glitches on video when we both had the video TX on.

the WKA Logo I did the 3 letters on Adobe Illustrator CS2 to create the letters than could be later use on Adobe After effects on 3D,,then I transfer those 3 letters into after effects and started adding shadows a reflective floor, lights etc,,and then I made the camera move arround the way I wanted to end up with that,,I think it's pretty cool.

Hey JM I have a question to ask from my friend I know you also have the same goggles as my friend and he's wondering if there's away to adjust the fucus on them or the way they show picture,,it really doesnt seems to have that good of quality pictue they all talk about.

I have tested them myself and the picture looks blueish and if you fly towards the sun you almost cant see anything.

Other question is when he ordered the staf from future hobbies they sent them the regular 8db patch antennas instead of the ones they advertise for the diversity receiver which are 12db,,,I think they screwed up and sent him the wrong antennas but which one are better the 12db or 8db.

So far he's only using the whip antennas from the diversity rx and it's working just fine.

another question we were having some glitches everytime we flew together, and we changed one of the TX/RX to ch 3,,will it get btter changing it farther appart?
Thenthe wired part was if you set the TX on ch3 it will only show on ch5 on the RX and that was the same with both systems the Range video one and the Future hobbies one,,,isnt that wired?

Hi Charua,

In regards to your blueish video problem, better get on Future Hobbies tail. I think those goggles are defective and no you can not adjust the focus on those goggles.

Which patch is better 8 or 12? Well 8dbi has a wider reception range but not too good for long range. 12dbi is good for longer range but narrow reception range; which means you have to constantly aim the 12db antenna at your plane. I got around 2 km on my 8db patch and it's really what the pros use regularly. I have been using my 14db more and more these days because I like the long range flights, but I have to always adjust the antenna to my planes' direction. Good and bad in all those antennas but it's really a matter of choice and how you like to fly. I noticed on your videos that you don't really go far out but like to fly low and sometimes a little acrobat. 8db is your choice if you ask me

If you are using a dual diversity, why not try both a whip and 8db patch? Get the best of both world!

Changing the channels farther apart may help the cross interference you and your friend are suffering when flying together. As for the non matching channels for both RX and TX, yeah I get that too on my Range video/Future Hobbies stuff which is actually a LAWMATE RX & TX. I get that as well on my AIRWAVE RX & TX so it's nothing to worry about. It works right!

Oh I forgot to mention on a dual diversity part of my last comment. Patch is good for longer range but suck when the plane is up close and low. Like when landing (see my video on Maiden flight of the Spit Star). Omni Directional is great up close and has no problems with reception even when the plane is flying low but it is not very good for long range. So with a dual diversity, you can use a omni directional for the low and close flying but when the plane start to move out farther, the patch will take over and keep the signal true.

So what you are saying is have one half of the diversity rx with the whip antenna and the other half with the patch antenna??? is that correct?

Yup! It's being done as we speak and with good results But make sure the patch is in the flight path of your plane so get your buddy, the newspaper delivery kid, the girl next door or who ever to help point the patch at the plane. Actually the girl next door should be saved for other purposes
