Status: offline 		I have been lurking on the forum for a couple months now and greatly enjoy the civility and knowledge base that RC Universe can boast amongst its members. Yet there is something I have not seen mentioned: Italian warbirds.

I would love to see Italian planes of the 20s, 30s, and 40s. Many have great lines pleasing to the eye and have great colour schemes. I cannot comment to their performance both as scale products or the real thing as I have not done the research. Yet it seems to me the Italian planes are very under represented.

That being said, I'd vote for anything Russian, Japanese, British and yes, French too!

Status: offline 		P-40 is a nice looking plane. However, you can get P-40 kits from a ton of different companies. If Zirolo makes it, would be a crying shame to have Top-Flight produce a giant kit too, simply because of the focus on particular craft.

I want a kit that I honestly love, will be a little different, and will spend the loving hours building it to look great. For me it is something exotic or something rarely modeled.

ME-109, I can find only one actual kit in the .40 or up, a midwest that doesnt look anywhere near to scale.

Maybe someday I will become a good builder and be able to cut my own parts, there is plans for every type of aircraft under the sun available, things really, really rarely seen. Like the DO-335, yum.

Status: offline 		I'd love to see a Kawasaki Ki-61. Not the greatest plane of the war, but plenty of cool paint schemes, and should make a sweet flying RC plane.

Status: offline 		I see over 1744 people have viewed this thread , so why are people buying ARF's , and companies like TF etc are strugling. If only half the number that have viewed this thread went back to good old fashioned kit, or plan building the likes of TF wouldnt be suffering, from Chinese import blues.

I for one, love building, probably more than flying.

Status: offline 		I think the manufacturers are afraid to produce any truly "new" kits for fear of loseing money. Seems like there's a ton of new ARF's coming out every time you turn around, but new kit intro's are few and far between. Maybe it would help if there were some new kit offerings more exciting than the kit you've had on the shelf for two years. That would explain the popularity of the thread.

Status: offline 		In the UK, the importer of TF kits is [URL=http://www.ripmax.com]RIPMAX[/URL] (check out the stupid prices if you want a laugh), and they have next to nothing in the way of stock. Because everyone seems to be buying them, perhaps people are getting fed up with ARF's ?

Status: offline 		wow, you aren't kidding....i just picked the top-flite p-47 for comparison...the smaller one, and from tower it's $150 USD. Ripmax list it at 180 lbs sterling, and today that works out to about $290 usd......

Status: offline 		Gentleman-Although ARF's replicating warbirs are readily available not a one is any thing but stand way off scale. I don't wish to knock the ARF industry but as in an earlier thread & I quote:"If only half the responding parties purcashed kits Top Flite (for example would not be struggling. So_ go out and get ya a flat work surface a War bird kit with a good set of plans and assembly instructions and I bet ya YOU can build a war bird and when you need help us builders are glad to take the time to help you along. Gosh-do I enjoy building more than flying now for some of us thats a good question Fast Richard

Maybe Top Flite should sponsor a scale contest featuring "ONLY" Top Flite or GP kits wether they are stock or bashed....P40 into a P36 etc. Sig does it why not Top Flite? It would give people a chance to get the ear of the ones who make the decisions and pass on our opinions directly......my .02 worth
