lOve to see a p40
from a business standpoint consider the following
There are a ton corsairs out there already ,H9, Giant planes, Kondor, Great Planes smaller version , Tons of P51s
But no real options on P40s
The world model is a very poor excuse , all of the others are build kids , the new one that is in the works from Cermark is over $800.

My sources tell me that the ARF P-47 giant may make an appearance by the end of summer ...

I would like to see something other than the typical American warbird my vote is for the me109 or the mosquito It is just my opinion that the american warbirds are over done thanx

Yeah...

well, let's review a bit here....Not everyone wants a giant scale bird, and the 1/7 scale line seems popular...The low side of it....too heavy for the size! How about a warbird with a thick airfoil, easy retract, fabric covering after the cockpit, about 65" wingspan....could be done with a .61 to 90 2 strokes....The one that carried the burden of the battle of Britain...the Hawker Hurricane!

I'm with you althepal, amazing there aren't more Hurricanes on the market! It would make a great model for all the features you listed. It's one of the most model-friendly warbirds ever designed.

I would like to see a Grumman E-2C Hawkeye, or a variant C-2A. These planes are just not seen very often.

I know that they probably won't do a twin, but I would like to see a 60 sized P-38, perhaps with twin 0.60's, at about an 80" wingspan. Cuurently, if you want to build a P-38 it is either huge (like the 110" Ziroli) or park flyer sized.

Is this all dreaming? or are all you guys being realistic? Top Flite is in business to make money! sure i would like to see a kit of any of these planes that has been suggested but look at Top Flites history with warbirds-P-51B,P-40E,P-39?,F4U-1,F8F-2,A6M,then the gold edition kits F4U-1,P-51D,P-40E,P-47D,P39?,T-6,Spitfire MkIX,FW-190,Seafury,and any giant scale plane that they come out with will just be a blow up of one of these. they stopped making the T-6 kit! and I,ll bet the P-39 is next to go! If they cant sell thousands of kits of whatever they make then keep on dreaming.hey if we are going to be dreaming, i would like Top Flite to come out with a P-38!

Go with a Zenoah G62. Proven motor with great power and relatively inexpensive condering other gas motors. Plus, you will need the nose weight. Most warbirds and all of Top Flite's kits build tail heavy.

My F4u "red box" came out just right. Gold edition P-51 came out nose heavy,
currently building Giant P-47, can't wait to see how that one comes out.

As to their next kit, my vote was for the F6F, though a B-17 at 90" would be a
close second.

I vote for the Raiden too! 1/5 scale woud get about 88" w/s. Robart p-51 mains would be perfect... But as scale detail pointed out, it would never happen from the good old boys from topfiite. Count on them choosing:
1. a popular subject (One that's already been done to death:Zero--Oh for crying out loud, go buy a world models ARF!; Spit or P-40? Can you say PICA?)
2. Most likely a subject they themselves have done before in a smaller scale (p-40,Spit,Seafury...)
3. Could fly (in theory) on a US41.

Don't get your Mosquito hopes up.

Bring back the P-51B with the correct wing, not the D model conversion they have currently. Also include an optional Malcom Hood canopy. I still have the decals from the red box P-51B and owuld love to build another one.

Having built Topflite kits, does someone know if a large scale spit is on the drawing board. with people saying that some spitfire kits dont look scale maybe Topflite can get it right.
