.21 on-road motor and then a boat pipe setup
well it preety much depends on how much u want to spend if there is no budget then this motor would be perfect

thanks for the help. also i dont know how i will mount the body because the kit didn't come with any body post and will it be best to get some mods to that Engine?

We race the New Era electric version, the ETF110CF. For attaching the single front body mount post, we used a 1/4" black nylon clamp around the front aluminum crossmember. We passed the mounting screw through the tab on the clamp and threaded the body mount post onto the screw. For the two rear posts, we drilled and attached them to the upper chassis plate where the ESC mounts. Don't think you have that plate by looking at your nitro model. You may have to go with a longer set attached to the aluminum lower chassis. HPI makes a 4" set with multiple holes you can cut to length.

Some racers attach the body using velcro. We don't. The body tends to catch the air and fly off if the chassis begins to lift - usually happens in the speed traps. Our interpretation of IMDRA rules, having a body come off prior to completing a run during eliminations results in a disqualification. Also, the body posts offer overturn protection to the body and chassis.

good luck with it but that motor is what here alot of people using but that is not what I am running I run a highly modified ae.21 with a boat pipe and it goes preety good for what it is, i you want a different motor get a .21 on-road motor

Velcro Rules !!!!! You just have to get the right velcro. And design the body mounts properly. A 3/4 inch wide super thin piece of aluminum running between the body posts on the rear with some outdoor type velcro will work just fine. Look for the stuff that will stick to concrete and unless the whole car gets in the air the body won't come off. IF you have body posts and the car hits something has to give and guess what its not going to be the chassis. Velcro has saved me lots of times. The only time I had a body fly off going down the strip was the first time out with the Plazma. Didn't have the front body mount wide enough. A lot easier to get the body on the car during those tense moments before a run as well. The funny car body I have went through 2 complete write-off's of a chassis without a scratch thanks to velcro body mounts. On the front of a rail I had a piece of velcro about 5/8 wide and an inch maybe a little mor long. Mounted to a single post about midway from the front of the body to the drivers compartment on the body. That body also survived multiple total wrecks of the chassis. Look at this pic. The body mounts are visible One at the front one midway along the body. They have white velcro on them.

And as you can see from this pic the body is intact after a massive crash that totally wrecked the chassis.

So Velcro looks like the best and the easiest way to go. thanks for all the help guys this the first dragster i will be putting together. i will post pics when i am done
