p8ntball -> mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 1:03:05 AM)

the idea behind this is that i really dont want to spend much money making a dragster, i want it to go at least sixty, but get there fast! like 2-3 seconds... is it possible???, what about a 4-tec electric????

what about a micro rs4??? micro would be more less expensive though, but will it be able to reach sixty???

I spent maybe a total ov 50$ converted my tc3 to a full blown dragster including all building materials, wheels tires but I also had some parts already

2916jr -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 3:05:43 AM)

should but I would completely and gut the car first are you talking about the nitro 4tec converting it to electric?

p8ntball -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 3:06:56 AM)

no, electric to electric brushless...

p8ntball -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 3:08:24 AM)

what else would i need to do? change tires, wheelie bar, etc...???

2916jr -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 3:28:07 AM)

no wheely bar is needed unless you want to do what I did
when I mean completely gut the car I mean bare chassis and start all over

how fast should i expect the 4 tec to go with a mamba brushless???

2916jr -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 2:05:27 PM)

depending how its geared probably around 50-60

STR33T_RAC3R -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 6:14:17 PM)

2916jr. Did all that really only cost you $50?

2916jr -> RE: mini t or 4-tec dragster, is it possible??? (7/11/2007 8:07:10 PM)

well I had the car I had most of all the stuff already made from other projects but if you were to buy all the parts as if I didnt have them it would probably cost around 100$ to build but the drag cars built from factories perform better but atleast I can say I built the car lol

Great pics - How did you connect drag tires on the rear of your TC3? What all was involved?
Also could you show close up of your steering? I see how the servo is controlling it, but what is the other bar coming from the middle?

Very creative and looks clean. I like it and would like to try something similar but electric. Thanks

I jbwelded graphit rear axles into the where the dogbones would go and use 1/12 scale drag hubs, and the bar you see connected to the front axle is the support bar to keep from having forward and backward movement when I steer the axle

Thanks for sharing. I really like the way it looks. Could you post some close up pics of the steering? Saw some other pics you posted in another thread - I love the rear wing.

The nitro chassis is flat so easier to do what you did to the front end. Using the electric chassis, I do not think it would be as easy. Yesterday I ordered a pan car off ebay and trying to identify what brand and make it is. Here is a link to the pics.

I want to use older Bolink body I have a few, and make it into a drag car. Will mount drag wheels on rear and the little oring front wheels on front.

To the guy who originally posted this thread - If you modify either of those into drag cars, we would all love to see the pics when you're finished. Thanks
