I need some advice on seting up my new Piranha Digital charger. The info supplied is not complete and I don't know what to enter in the amps prompt.

I have HL 1700 aAH 7.2 batteries
2000 niMH 7.2 TOWC 1050
3000 niMH 7.2 EPIC

Don't want to burn anything up and realistically, a trickle charge would be OK as I'm not into fast pace combat where I need a fresh battery in 10 minutes. Would appreciate any info in helping me set this up to where I can charge my batteries.
Thanx

Bill

I think that, if no detailed information is known about the quick charge of each pack, you could safely charge them at capacity/2 Amps

i.e. a 2000 mAh pack charged at 1.0 A

However, it is not advisable to exceed the C=1 charge factor: i.e. charging a 2000 mAh pack at more than 2.0 A

edit: I have a new charger too, and the automatic charging process is as follows:

- 2-3 minutes of C=1 charge rate (whatever the set rate)
- set charge rate until the delta peak is sensed
- trickle charge until disconnection

For battery longevity, I like to charge them at capacity/10 amps, i.e. charge a 2000 mAh pack at 0.2A, a 3000 mAh battery pack at 0.3A.
