Here is my 4th day of flying. I got the gusto to go inverted a few times... my cameraman kept losing the bird so i removed alot of the "searching the skies out of focus" parts of the video...

here is the high quality 740x480 its 33 megs.

450 se v2. 3 x 65 MG servos / 1 x S3153 futaba micro digital tail / 401 Gyro / Align 35X ESC / 430 XL motor 13T pinion / Flight power 2200 extreme batteries / + / - 10 pitch curves / DX7 radio. This is the first heli i've ever built and I was really happy everything came together correctly the first time. my blades were + - 10 with no adjustment... my swash was dead level from my install and all the limits of servo's were good and center at 90 degrees right off the bat. I really took my time when building it and am glad it didn't have any nasty gremlins hiding in there. I knew nothing about helis or anything im talking about 2 months ago so I am thankful for sites like these on the net.

4th day of flying! I've been flying heli's for about 6 months now and my goal is to hover inverted by this time next year! Maybe I set the bar too low

i did all my hover and orientation training with a blade CX2. some people hate them and swear they are the devil in flying form and they dismiss them like a baby's playtoy but that was my first heli... it was all i knew and all i was able to fly, and fly it i did... learned how to fly nose in and forward flight instantly because the only place i could fly it was down my hallway, into my office, turn it around do some circles, fly it back towards me, into a nother room... worked wonders for hover orientation, and whatnot.. you never really have to worry about bailing out.. you can practice in your house, and even though it hovers without input, it still trains your brain to push left for right, and right for left when its facing you... you don't know how many walls i've hit with that CX2. so 2 months of CX2 flying, and the same 2 months i was doing G3 real flight, and i ONLY flew a Trex model in real flight.. never anything else, ever...

someone said once "if you can do it in real flight, you can do it in real life" and i think to some degree thats true.. although i can do waaaay more in real flight right now than I have tried on my bird..., my brain and fingers have done it and that counts for something when you hit the real thing...
