I have a mini lst. I have been upgrading the hell out of this. i recently bought a 1500 nimh battery pack. i floor the trigger and the truck dies instantly but i still have power. the stering servos still move. i put the stock 1100 nimh pack in and the problem is gone, both packs are rated at 7.2 volts. could the esc be the problem

The problem seems to be an uncharged battery (or bad battery)

maybe check the actual voltages you are getting. I dunno how much it says that your servo's are still working, because they usually run on about 5 or 6v, so even a dead pack would still give enough power to the servo's. It could be something with the motor ESC or programming though. Battery voltages would really help that =)
