How much weight does the glassing add?

I think about 2oz for the wing. Thats using epoxy thinned could save weight with polyurethane finish. But I just like the durability and strength of epoxy.

Does it really add 2 oz (!) or is that the total weight?

Thanks, I got the kit from a friend who used to work at our LHS. Then I put it on FleaBay but no one wanted it so I decided to build it.

Well I cut the aileron's to size. I have to get the hinges and some glue. I found the frame for the scoop in the box. It got squashed so I had to rebuild it. Maybe tomorrow I will go to lhs and get some glue and hinges.

Chipping away at her. I added a little hatch to the bottom of the scoop to access the wing bolts. Then glued the scoop on. Just need to glass over it.

I was referring to the P51... though it's refreshing to see an electric converted to glow.
