DX6 if you are on a budget its around 199.00 w/servos and ar6000 receiver. I used the servos on the cyclic for about 20 flights and eventually replaced it. however a DX7 transmitter only and a ar6000 receiver would be around 270 that is w/o servos.

For thes best results you are going to want to use Hitec 65 on a budget the HB will work fine, if you have more to spend get the MG gear. Radio choice is preference, if you feel you may later get a nitro heli you want a radio that will support 7 channels. The most popular are 2.4ghz Spread Sprectrum Technology based radios.

DX6 is good. Dont waste your money on Non-MG servos , you will break them on a crash. The only ones that really hold up to repeated crashes are the HS65-mg. Ask me how I know... The servos with the DX6 are junk. If you call Hobbyzone , they will switch out the servos to the ones you want (e.g 4 crappies for 3 MGs) It may cost a few more $, but well worth it.

The Futaba 6ex 2.4ghz offers a bit moe versatilityy than the DX6 (5point curves, full-range, etc.), while not costing as much as the DX7. However, it does not come with servos but like most everyone else has said, the ones that come with the DX6 or DX7 are pretty much garbage. Get the Futaba and a set of hs-65 servos and you are set for under $300.
