I'm about to recieve a 1/10 infinity truck and i was wondering if its worth getting the engine taken apart, cleaned, and sealed back up, right out of the box. I'm new to this, this is my first car and i need to know if it helps in the long run and is easier to maintain. Plus i heard its much easier to tune when everything is sealed up.

Thanks

It certainly can't hurt, but on these motors it won't make that much of a performance difference. The main place your going to seal is around the back plate where the plate meets the engine block and you will use a very very small amount of gasket sealer, I would suggest copper gasket sealer. The copper gasket sealer actually has micro particals of copper that will bond and seal better when the engine heats up. Do the same thing around the carb where the base of the carb meets the engine block. Before you go pulling the engine and putting it back in I suggest you read this http://www.redcatracing.com/quickstart.pdf I also suggest this http://www.redcatracing.com/tuningyourengine.asp alot of good new comer info. We sell the Redcat version of the car you have, they are all the exact same cars Redcat/Exceed/Himoto/Raidentech/smarttech so there is no lack of parts available.
We sell a full line of replacement parts and upgrade accessories for all the cars http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/
