Mario.sorry no one has helped you. Did you google anything about this kit? perhaps there is something out there. But I think it should be a very easy build...the plane is not a complicated one by any means. I live near San Diego CA. There is a replica of the "Spirit" hanging in the Airport Terminal ( Full Scale) I also think there is one that has flown in the Aero Space museum in Balboa Park. If I can be of any help just let me know.
Good building and keep us posted on your build of this most famous aircraft.

Steve

I'm interested, too. I've never seen anything posted about this design, but I wouldn't worry. It's a Ziroli. That speaks for itself.

I got the same planes and kit cut by Precision Kit Cutters. I hope you got Ziroli's written instructions that should have came with the plans. The instructions are pretty straight forward and it builds like a Piper J-3. I'm currently working on a Top Flite Sttson Reliant (Giant Scale) and the Spirit is going to be next on the board. I'll be glad to help you through the building process. I've been told that this plane flys well but pretty much like any light plane this size. I live by Nick Ziroli and have asked him about a suitable power plant for the Spirit and he said that a g-62 is the smallest he wouls put in this bird. That's it for me tonight Ill talk to you later. Hi John,

I'm already to start, joust waiting for a few accesories. About the engine I changed my mind and ordered a Saito 450, thats only because I'm a 4 stroke lover, and this engine swings a 22*12 at 7000 rpm, I guess that is enough.

I've been tossing this one around in my head for...years, probably. I'll be following your build closely! Good luck!

Maki,

A Saito 450 sounds good to me. I have a brand new G-62 in a box that's just begging to fly that plane. I plan on scaling mine out as much as my experience can bring me. R/John

Maki,
Please post pictures as you build, I would like to build a Spirit also. My grandfather painted the pirate emblems on the cowl when it visited France Field in Panama after the Atlantic crossing so it is of very special interest to me. I didnt even know there was a kit this large.
Thanks

Gentlemen,

I have a contact in NJ that has built the Spirit a couple of years ago. He has bestowed his wisdom on me about the "Do's and Don'ts" on constructing the Spirit of Sanit Louis. I will ask him to take a look at this blog and add to the forum. He may just ask me to post his name and number. I'll find out and get back to you all. R/John

Sorry for not getting back to you all sooner (I've been busy nursing my right foot after surgery). I'll get the data tonight when I get home from work.

Maki - have you started work on your plane?

Denny,

I'm finishing up a Top Flite Stinson Reliant and will probably start on the Spirit this winter. I fly at Triple Creek RC about 5 miles South of Valrico. We have a website if you want to see pictures of the club field.
