After having my Savage X for a month and a half, I have yet to find a good place to bash. I know there are several rock quarries in the area and would love to drive the savage in the rock pits. However, the entrances are gated closed. I am thinking of going on a weekend and walking past the gate to do some bashing. Anyone else go places that are off limits to bash a little? What could a company possibly do if they find me tresspassing to drive my r/c truck? More than likely nobody would even be around on the weekends.

Why not ask the property owners for permission. We have a sand pit that is privately owned and we asked for permisson to bash our trucks and he was cool with. As long as you are not ignorant or disrepectful than it should't be a problem.

Good idea to ask the property owners if I could find out who that might be. I would never be ignorant or disprespectful if someone gave me the O.K. to do that. Having all this in mind, I made a little trailer for the savage to pull my fuel and box of tools so rather than carrying everything for a quarter mile I'll have the truck pull it. I'll see if I can post a picture.

That's a great idea, having a trailer to carry all your gear, those rc trucks can get heavy after awhile

Well, technically you don't have to be on their property...

I'm sure either my Revo or my LST2 could pull that trailer... no problem.

I think asking permission is the best thing to do... if there's a "No Tresspassing" sign... DEFINITELY don't go... if there's no sign, the most anyone will probably do is ask you to leave... even if the police get called... they'll probably just ask you to leave (unless they're having a bad day)

I guess the reason I asked is because I've had bad previous experiences trespassing. Once we went around a closed gate but drove the 1:1 truck over a tree to get past the gate. We took a bike ramp to the boat loading dock. The conservation officer came and gave us tickets and made us replace the tree.

But I suppose if you don't do any damage to the property, the only thing they can do is ask you to leave. I'm just tired of not having any good places to bash. I wish there was a track closeby. Maybe I'll try going to the quarry this weekend if I have time. Thanks for all the responses.

I would have had you prosecuted for destruction of property if you ran over a tree with your car to get onto my private property.

But in this situation I dont see it being too big of a deal especially if you dont cause any damage.

I wasn't the one that drove over the tree, it was my friend. I've learned my lesson though...don't damage property that doesn't belong to you.
