Ouch, thats ugly. Are we just SOL on this stuff? I obviously bought a piece that had been on the shelf for a bit

I still think the LHS should just take care of it

Email them with the issue, they should make it right and send you a new one.

I am sure the "Glory" will not last long.........I am bound to biff it somewhere along the line. Oooooo, its gonna hurt........

LEARN TO USE THE TROTTLE HOLD SWITCH!!!!
Everybody crashes, the thing is to try and minimize the damage done from the moment of impact onwards. I once crashed into the side of my house and the heli hit flush sideways, disintergrated one of the main rotor blades and then fell to the ground. A timely throttle hold prevented further damage to the rotor head.

I shut down with the throttle hold switch every flight, just to get that switch engrained into me. Now that I am flying in idle-up, it seems pretty critical to get down cold.

Congrats LDGills. One early recommendation before a crash due to equipment failure. Change out the tail pulley to an Aluminum or Metal pulley that is attached by set screw and not ca glue. Over time the plastic pulley will work itself free and you will be left with no tail control, thus a crash. Just lookin out for you, before this happens to you as it happend to me $175 in the whole.

Parts replaced after crash
GY401 replaced
Blades
Bottom Plate
Spindle
Main Shaft
Skids

Yep, just happened to me yesterday Uh, when we dont take advise of the wise..........
