You don't really want to add aluminum hop-ups to make a vehicel race ready, that makes them super heavy and slow. It depends on what kind of power you want out of your car, if you're racing off road you want to the engine to make max torque so you want a torque pipe, ex. http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_17_30&products_id=613 if you want more power at the top end like drag racing or street racing you want an RPM pipe, ex. http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_17_30&products_id=191. No matter what pipe you use, you want a smooth flow for the exhaust so you want a nice round smooth exhaust header like this one, ex. http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_17_30&products_id=121 along with changeing your header you need to replace your exhaust gaskets also http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_17_30&products_id=206, those parts alone will give you a huge boost in engine performance. Depending on what type of transmission you have you can change the clutch bells to lower or higher gears, if you go up with gears you loose bottom end speed but gain a WHOLE bunch of top speed, if you go lower with gears you loose top speed but gain a WHOLE bunch of tire spinning torque.

The round header is smoother than the square odd shaped header and the exhaust pressure gets bounced around instead of just moving smoothly from the engine to the exhaust stinger and into the fuel tank, your exhaust system is like your fuel pump in your car. the pressures from the exhaust push fuel into the engine. With a smooth flowing exhaust you get better more even pressure going into the fuel tank, instead of irratic pulses from the stock setup. This increases the power of the engine and a more even fuel flow not to mention the exhaust can leave the engine in a fast smooth fashion. The exhaust gaskets seal the space between your exhaust headers and the engine so there is no air leaks which would cause the engine to run lean and hot. There is an exhaust gasket there now but once you remove the exhaust header you will need to replace the gasket everytime you remove the header they are not reuseable.

Clutch bells come in different tooth amounts, you can get a 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 ,16, 17(stock, comes with car), 18, 19, 21 tooth and so on. The lower the tooth count the more power you have on take off, but your top speed will be reduced, the higher the tooth count the fast you will go, but your take off will be slower.

The header is the part that the exhaust pipe in connected to by the rubber connector, then the header is bolted to the side of the engine. No what ever tooth combination you get it has to be a five tooth difference on the 2 speeds, so it would be something like 17/22 or 13/18
