Having run my OS50sx on Coolpower 10% for a couple of seasons without any problems at all, I visited my local model shop for more only to find out they had changed supplier and stocked a different range of fuel - Model Technics.

To cut a long story short, walked out with some 'tech power 15 with Sical', having run this now for a few months the OS50sx is less than reliable, requires constant needle adjustment and the mess the sical oil leaves is horrible, it does not get any thumbs up[>:]

I am planning on ordering some Coolpower from an on-line dealer and wondered if I should stick with 10% or go to 15%, does anyone have experience of 15% in an OS50sx, I read that OS engines are partial to nitro.

G'day Mark,
I use 10% nitro in all my engines, 2 & 4 stroke, from an OS 25FSR, 2x 46AX's an OS 61FX, OS 160FX, & an OS FS120, 18% Coolpower oil, & they all run beautifully.

ive had my 50 sx when they first hit the market and i dont run any nitro. Yes it idles just fine and has more power than running 15% nitro.More power more torque more thrust and a lot cheaper fuel cost.When running no nitro on my 50 the needle adj is verry minn. To rich and motor lets you know, to lean and the motor lets you know, verry easy to adjust

I've seen several run on mostly 15% synthetic or blends with castor. Those also ran higher nitro from time to time with excellent results. I never noticed any problems with any of the fuel used.

well I run 30% in my engines. I was told the it gives the engine a longer life, with the lubication side of it.
