Status: offline 		If I glued the wings on I would also glue the wing tubes in the opposing wing. Might as well go all the way. If you are asking about the carbon fiber control horns simply cut a slot in the surface and glue in with CA. Don't use any accelerator as that makes the CA brittle.

The OS 70 is a perfect fit on the Edge. Mine hovers at half throtle with no problem, but I am partial to OS over the Saito.

I originally bought a Saito .72 for the Edge and then saw that the new Saito .82 was only about $30 more, so I exchanged it. I already have 2 of them and im looking for a plane for one of them. One is in use on my ultra stick and plenty of power to hover it. Im just not that good.

I maidened my 540 v3 this afternoon. Everything went perfectly. I'm using an O.S. 55AX with an APC 13x4W prop. Peak rpm is 10900, richened up to 10500. The motor doesn't spool up instantly like it would with a smaller wood prop but man, talk about rock steady idle at 1900 rpm and unlimited vertical. The plane weighed in at 5lbs 2oz wet and balanced at 4 3/4". JR 537s all around with the medium Dubro arms. Hitec HS-85MG on the throttle, but I'll change it out for a HS-81MG for a little better throttle response. I sure wish there was a wood version of the 13x4W prop. That would definately be a good setup for this motor.

Status: offline 		What thread of nylon bolt holds the wing together?

Mine died today in a hover about 10 foot high, hit right on the spinner. The only thing that broke was the nylon wing bolt. Some minor wood damage to the wings that was fixed in 15 minutes. No damage to the fuse what so ever. I was surprised. Tough Tough Plane.

Status: offline 		My fusion dropped from about the same height, just like yours, directly on the spinner. It broke one root rib out, busted up the wood around the wing tube, and broke the motor mount a little bit. You must crash better than I do or build better than I do. I think I have a wing bolt from a seagull plane that fits in there, couldn't tell you what the thread size is though.

While we are on the subject of wing bolts. Mine was loosening up every four or five flights. I found out a black silicon o-ring from the hardware store faucet repair section, used as a washer, took care of that problem. By the way you can get replacement metric nylon bolts from Micro Fasteners. If you need to find out the size most hardware stores (i.e. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc.) have metric bolt gages that you can compare the bolt (or piece of bolt left) to find out the thread size.

Status: offline 		I should be getting my new Edge today via UPS! What servo's is everyone using? I am taking my 46FX out of my Pizazz for this airplane, and I would like to use my Futuba 3004 servo's as well. Also do you need a mini for the throttle or will a 3004 work? I can't really tell how big the throttle servo hole is from the picture.

Also what CG is everyone using?

Any other suggestions for setup would be appreciated!

See Post # 88 for details of the SIG tail wheel installed on my Edge. This is a very sturdy and light unit that works great on the Edge.
