Many changes on the V3! Besides the two piece wings which can be removed for transport or permanently glued onto the fuse, the fuse now has a fiberglass tube internal along with balsa sheeting which provides a super strong and rigid fuselage. The wing has some improvements like slightly thinner airfoil. Also the tail control surfaces are enlarged over previous versions but the elevator counterbalances are ommitted so you won't break them off!

ETA is hard to say as I still have no hard evidence of the shipping status. Only verbal that the container has left China. Typically I would expect product in hand 4 weeks from that point.

What plug and fuel are you using? This is a great engine. OS#8 plugs are perfect. I like to use 25% cool power running a bit rich. Jim

I use the stock OS plug and Cooper 10% fuel. Never had any problems. Had the stock muffler on but switched recently to the Tower Hobbies muffler and runs just as well. Flew the snot out of it this past weekend up at the Bryan Pro Bro event.

Hello all, I just won this plane at the FX3D and have it outfitted with an OS 55AX, Question, what is the best prop for 3D practice. Don't want it too fast but not too slow either as i am still learning 3d stuff?

Xoar - 13 x 4

APC - 13 x 4W

APC - 13 x 4

I like the Xoar the best, but they break easy. Get one of the APC's and you should be fine.

Isn't anyone using the Saito 82 anymore? All I see is the talk of the 55AX which I know works great, but I have a spare Saito 82 sitting here.

With the Saito vs. the 55AX, would there be much difference in acheiving the correct CG?

Thanks,

Ernie

I started out with a 55AX, then switched to a Saito 82 to see what the difference would be. I switched back to the 55AX because the plane became too nose heavy, and that's with the 82 al the way back in the mount.

Was reading through this cause I was thinkin of buying one to complement my MOJO . I have a new Saito82 and was thinkin of using it . I also have a .46 ax . I was looking at the weight diff between the .55ax and the Saito . The Saito is almost an 1oz lighter than the ax if you include the muffler weight . Maybe you have a lighter muff. ? I don't really like the sound of the 2-stroke winding out . Thats why i'd rather go Saito . More torque too .

I am considering buying a profile, more specifically an OMP product (either the Edge or ProYak). I have not had a profile before and was wondering how they handle the wind. Also, does wind make them a challenge to land?

Thanks Ron, looks like a good setup. I have an engine and servos already that would work well. So, how do they handle the wind? And land?

I'll repeat my response here:

Flying the OMP Edge or ProYak in the wind is easy and actually a lot of fun. They handle the wing exceptionally well and honestly one of my top choices to fly when it is really windy. Doing rollers or HAKE stationary over the runway is a blast. Landings are also fun as you can float straight down onto the landing gear with zero ground speed.
