I ordered a nitro buggy from NitroRCX online for my son's birthday. I wanted to introduce him to the hobby. I received the order and it was in good condition but spent over 2 months in trying to get it started and tuned. Their support was no help and basically did nothing to try and assist me. Finally got it running last weekend and ran it on one tank of fuel, went to start it again and the pull cord snapped. Called support again to see if it could be fixed and returned and was told NO returns and all sales final. I guess the following policy is on their site to scam unsuspecting people like me:

"We stand behind the quality of the products we sell. Understandably, used items cannot be returned, except where there is a quality concern. If your order is not 100% free from defects in materials and workmanship, you may return it in new condition and in its original packaging for a prompt credit, exchange or full refund. Please use our Contact Us Form if you have a question about a return or exchange."

I do not want anyone to fall in the same trap i did. Steer clear of these people.

Sorry to hear about all your problems. I have never ordered from that site and am glad you informed us about your problems so that others don't have the same problems. I do however want to encourage you not to give up on the buggy. Parts are available and so is help in repairing it. I am sure that you will soon be hearing from others giving you links to the parts you need and offering advice on how to fix it. Keep with it I am sure your son will really enjoy it when you finally get it running right.

Ya that sucks, sorry to here about your problems with Nitrorcx. I have never delt with them before, it's to bad they gave you crappy service. On there defense about returns, I don't know of any nitro dealers, myself included, or distributors that gvie any kind of refund after you open the car box and put fuel in it. It sounds like they need to get better tech support though, that sucks what they put you through.

About the pull cord, alot of times people make to long of pulls and that will deffinatlly break the pull cord forst or second time, ya need to make short fast pulls, like maybe max of 6 inch pull length.

anyone bought the new electric buggies or trucks from them? any issues. I spoke to a eager young tech at redcat and was very informative call about there line of cars. Said yes the same but better service. I will call nitrorcx.com and see what questions i can get answered and give an update to everyone.
Thanks for the input

Yea Debri, redcat has good service. The president of the company comes onto the forums. So they are informed about the wants and needs of there customers.

I ordered my infinity truck from Grandhobby.com. They had pretty good service i geuss but i dont think they new a thing about their cars. I could call up and say a screw fell out and they would say "were so sorry about that send it back and we'll give you a brand new one. My first truck broke and i told them what happened and they didnt really get it. But thats ok because they pretty much will just send you a new car. They did the same to my freind. He told them it wasnt running like it should and they sent him a new one.

I made my call to nitrorcx
I will not be ordering from them. The sales person I spoke to could not tell me anything other than a 30 day warrenty and kept saying there not here. I do not think english was his 1st language. Redcat was a very pleasing call. I will pay the extra 20 bucks and buy my product from Redcat racing. I am working on a trade for a Tornado BB .18 1/10 buggie. From the videos on youtube they look like a hell raiser.
Looking forward to bashing the heck out of it.

I got a monster truck and a truggy from the for my son. Great prices at under a $100 a piece. These are nice cars for a youngster to learn on. No problems with shipping or the cars. They have run great. Real similar to my buddies Emaxx and at a fraction of the cost.
