Ok guys here is the much anticipated 150cc Yak 54 QB! This plane is sure to impress and is the most “QB’ed” airplane aeroworks has ever done! The 150cc Yak comes with carbon wing/stab tubes, tailwheel and even landing gear! After 2 years of testing we have found what we believe is the best carbon gear available and is made out of 100% Carbon Fiber. The Yak is setup for DROP-IN Greeves pipes and canister mufflers! All that is needed is to uncover the precut vent holes in the presheeted fuse bottom and slide in the cans/pipes. We have included an access hatch behind the landing gear to make installing the pipes even easier! The cowl is in two pieces and comes prebaffled just like the 100cc yak. As usual this airplane comes with all of the features that our other QB’s include along with a few more surprises that will be introduced later.

Now I’m sure many of you are wondering how does it fly? Well I put 5 flights on her on Friday and all I could say is WOW! Guys this airplane is incredibly stable in any 3D maneuver you can imagine! Precision however is where this airplane really shines. It is the most locked in plane I have ever flown! I told Rocco as soon as the first flight was over that I wanted 2 for the 08 season and plan to fly this plane in Advanced all next year.

We hope to have these avalible around the first of the year. Preorder now and get the special preorder price of 1995.95!

Here are the specs:
Wing Span: 122”
Wing Area: 2750
Weight: 39-41 Pounds
Length Rudder to Spinner: 116”

WOW! Looks fantastick. The 100cc plane is one of the best flying IMAC planes of it's size. Bigger flies better, so this should be a perfect plane to fly advanced with. Mark, I hope you bring one to the shootout for display, and maybe to let a few of us have a turn at the sticks. I guess you'll also be at the Cactus Classic with one if you are going to compete next year.

We will have one with us at the shootout. I'm not sure if i will be able to make the classic next year its just too early in our flying season to be able to practice. I will be at the regionals this year in intermidiate with my 42% 260 though!

Damn that is a sweet looking airplane!! I think I am going to have to have one. After building and flying the 35% 260 I can only imagine how awesome this thing will be.

JB, This could be the perfect plane for you, I know how much you liked the 100cc version. Now can you get serious about some IMAC?

I like the scheme, but I agree that it wouldn't hurt to be different. Perhaps that will be an option in future productions of every plane Aeroworks makes???
My theory behind their motive to make this the same scheme as all their other Yaks is that it has become synonymous with the Aeroworks QB line, kinda ensures brand-awareness, I'd think.

The thing about a scheme is that it serves two purposes. It should be attractive, in this regard you will never please everyone because it is a taste issue. In general the market seems to like the AW scheme, and your right, it is becoming a "brand" scvheme. The most important thing is that it is easy to see in the air. I have been flying one for a year, visibility and orientation is very good with this scheme.

If you really think it is too busy then read Joe Hunt's thread on the www.TeamFlyingCirkus.com website. It is very easy to remove the "bling" and do some customization.

BodyWorks that may be it. I hope they offer up a few different choices. Seems like other companys have a larger choice of color and layouts to pick from. I will say all my Aeroworks planes do fly real nice and have been worth the money. Keep em coming guys and give us more color schemes please. I want the big Yak but want to look a little different. How about a Russan Thunder layout that would be the bomb I would lay down the cash for that one. I will agree I have been flying one for two seasons now and they do show up well no doubt but if you want to buy a secound BIGGER one it would be nice to get a choice of trim and color. I dont think its that hard to offer more choices. TOC has no problem producing many different schemes. Just my thoughts It really looks like a choice plane and I will have one when they offer more color schemes.

The biggest problem with offering many different schemes is parts avalability, it is very hard to keep all of the parts in stock when there are many different schemes. We do plan to do new schemes in the future but for the first shipment this will most likely be what we get in.

If I preorder now can I get an all white one?? or how about an ARC. Then I can put on my own color scheme layout.

1bwana1 you fly a Aero-Works Yak? I don't remember that...HA. Kidding. I was very imressed with the 100cc that I flew in Veagas earlier this year. I will definitely have the 150cc version in my stable sooner than later!!
