It looks like I should have the parts by monday. I'll prob start building that night as soon as I get home. The build should go fast this time since ive most of the hardware already. Ive got the first prototype mostly back together so I can get some more flights in as I build number two. Its starting to look a little beat up but the info Im getting from it proving to be really helpful. I will post pics of the construction.

Just tell folks that the dings and scrapes are from the last meteor shower it flew through.
I like that color scheme that Laddie showed, it looks both "official" and practical for RC. Still not quite as cool as slightly weathered flat black.

ok... Here we go. I headed to the local art supply store near my place for more balsa on my way home from work. I had to fix a few parts that were damaged during shipping but nothing major. Everything seems to fit well at this point. The photos below show the interlocking parts assembled without glue to check fit and alighnment before hitting the joints with ca glue.

Awesome! Built in jigging and a perfect looking jig saw puzzle of interlocking pieces, amazing.

I got some more done last night but nothing that was worth pulling out the camera. I basically hit all the joints with ca being careful to keep everything square. I also added the nose gear steering block to a former and then glued the former in place. I also installed the two pushrod housings that will drive the elevons. I think I will work on building up the nacelles next. I really need a bigger table. This model is definetly larger than the first and should (hopefully) fly better. I'll take some more photos tonight...

thanks vicman!

Here are some more pics...I should be finishing the sheeting of the top fuse in a night or two. The twin rudders and nose steering linkages should be the next big step. The rest should go pretty fast after that.

FW, you sure are moving along nicely. Not as many decisions this time around?
Keep up the good work and I'll put in a good word for you at one of those Chinese Arf factories.
