I am thinking of buying another Eclipse 7
My trusty 5 year old Eclipse 7 is getting tired. ( broken case , Sticks getting sloppy, Not too much life left in my Tx battery etc )
NOT a single problem in 5 years.
They are a very low cost so the route to go for me is buy a new radio. ( Maybe Spectrum )
So.... Is Hitec working on any new 7+ Ch radios??

Thx

Fred..

Yes, there is a new 9 channel radio in the works as well as 2.4ghz technology. Unfortunately, I have no info on when these will be available.

Mike.

The new radio is called Corona. 9 channel, 30 model memories, and apparently a touch screen.

There is no information on whether it will be 2.4Ghz or support various freq modules.

There is a picture of it in my gallery....which I appear unable to link to.

The Corona will use a new version of PCM, which I assume would make it incompatible with Hitecs QPCM.

I have a one page brochure on the TX which I'll try to post in the next 48hours.

Any chance it could be configured to have true crossed trims? I sure miss that in my old proline custom competition radio..

I suspect the radio will be available with a number of plug in modules to support 2.4Ghz and whatever 'normal' frequencies used in each country. The radio is listed as supporting PCM and PPM, noting the PCM mode is not QPCM but something else (which I can't recall at the moment).

Work committments are keeping me busy but as soon as I get a chance to scan the brochure I'll put it up here.

Gee, it's been several years since the Corona radio was mentioned and it's still to be released.

Has anyone heard anything new on it? If there's no anticipated release date I'll probably change over to another brand. It's just been too long between new radios and I'm getting sick of fixing the flimsy cases where the handles attach (no, I'm not rough with my radio).

I'd like to see:

1. A servo-slower function built in
2. Decent memory count (not 5, not 7, not 20, give me 30)
3. Decent case design for strength and light weight design
