Guys I have owned 2 of the 34% CA Extras and 2 of the 27% CA Extras. They are both great flying planes, especially the 34%. You are gonna love it! Great looking planes too. The 34's was very easy to 3D with and one of the smoothest planes I have flown. I had a BME 100 in one of them and a BME 105 in the other. They both were light and had tons of power. Good luck!

I hope you have included an exit port back in the fuse for airflow behind those canisters. You have got them in there pretty tight and they will need a lot of airflow over them to keep them cool, otherwise your monokote/ultracote will shrivel up. remember canisters are just like engines, they need airflow over them to cool them as well.

Yep,
Post 159 and 163 show the opening in the bottom of the fuse. Let me know what you think.

Well that opening looks good but what you may want to do is put some sort of a spoiler (like the back end of a nascar) on the leading edge of the opening. This will help create a negative pressure over the hole and will almost act like a vacuum (as the air passes over the opening) to help pull the hot air out of the hole. something about 1/4" -1/2" high is all you need!

I was planning on doing that, but I'm not sure what kind of material to use, or how to atatch it. I thought maybe some kind of plastic, or will thin plywood work if I can get it angled right?

Just use some 3/8" or 1/2" triangle balsa or basswood stock, that is all you need, you can even cover it with matching monokote if you want, it does not have to be fancy to do the job!

Do you just glue it to the bottom of the plane just forward of the opening?

Yes just glue it across the front of the opening, the full width, if you want to wrap it around the sides an inch or two that would not be a bad idea either. after you glue them on run monokote over them or what ever covering you plan to use.

Thanks. That sounds like an easy way to get it done, and I have some 1/2" tri-stock.
