pretty sure there is a tube ran through the fuse for 72 mhz antenna, it lets out on the belly near the tailwheel.

What prop are you guys running on the G20's. I have been running a APC 16-6, but it seams just a smig to big (slow spool up). I am running 93 octane with Bell Ray MC-1 at 50:1 and getting 8,800. Has anyone tried the Evoulution 16-6 on the G20? I forgot, I am also running C&H ignition set at 30 degree's.

mine is the PNP so it's running the oroginal evo 16x6 that it came with, spool is fast after leaning the low end quite a bit from factory..

Question for your 1/4 scale Cub guys from Hangar 9...

My question is this: I just bought a Hangar 9 1/4 scale Super Cub. It does not have the fancy cockpit kit that this J3 Cub does. I wondered if you guys think that the seats and pilot figure will fit just fine into the Super Cub ... ??? Do you think the Cabin area is the same on them??? Anybody out there own one of each? The wingspan and dimensions of the plane are outwardly the same. Mine just has flaps and a G-26 Zenoah engine.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated and thanks.

Unfortunately they are two totally different models. I do however think that you could make a floor piece that would accept the seats from the current 1/4 Scale J-3 Cub. The new seats are designed to interlock into the florr and then the center access hatch in the floor locks them in place. This allows for easy removal, but you could just cut off the small tabs on the bottom of the seats and just lue or velcro in place with the addittion of a balsa base piece.

I hope this helps answer your question?

any plans for a supercub again from H9.. seems this j-3 would be super easy to convert, flaps, square the tips, new cowl, and maybe counterbalance the elevators if you're feeling ambitious, and presto, best supercub on the market!

Hi All,

With the weather turning colder in the Northeast, I'm thinking it would be fun to fly my Hangar 9 1/4 scale Cub on skis this winter. Does anyone know of a source for the correct size skis, hopefully somewhat scale?

Thanks,

John

My Hangar 9 Cub is powered with a Saito 120.I could not keep engine running air bubbles in fuel line.I tried new tubing from clunk out to carb. still air bubbles.I think tank stopper plug may have been leaking air.Horizon sent me a new tank assy. which I installed [it was assy. I did not have to install clunk etc.] started engine no air bubbles run fine. Hope this information may help.

I put one togeather for a new club member, and I mean new, so I had to fly it also, We put a zenoah 20cc electronic ign. and a futaba 7c radio, This thing flys great, Take off is smooth and landing is just as good, only thing that happened was the spring on one side of the tail wheel came off. Balance was perfect following directions. Crabs just like the real thing. You can't go wrong!!! Jeff
