What makes it more pricier than D30M?

Good question and sorry do not have an answer. One thing it is sanction legal which the 30 is not. I have 4 STS engines (3) 21 for my buggy and one 3 port 28 in my Savage. If I had the spare money I would get the Hyper ST Pro but racing takes ALL my spare cash.

One of them is the new STS D21T MKII which is the next to the newest engine other then the 5 port 28. Can you please direct me to these people that are saying they have had problems with the crankshafts on the newer engines?
Thanks

I think thats the old crankshaft. The crankshaft of my D21B snap into 2 piece. I've replace it with the one like in the MKII which is totally different design and much looks like the crank of my picco.
Other than that, I love this engine, it can perform like a high end engine.

I have a STS D21B engine that I have been running off and on for over a year with well over 5 gallons run thorough it and it is still doing great. I did replace the bearings once just to make me feel good. The few engines I have heard about crank problems most or all where modified. There was one person that was selling STS but since does not sell them any more that all so sold modified engines and seems those engines had more problems then most.
Thanks and your input is all ways welcome.

I assume you mean Racernine (Glen and Ryan), they didn't sell the modiffied motors but they did know Dadders well.

the 5 port .28 is an all race bred engine. its only available without a rotostart and pullstart.

Expect more RPM's and HP out of this engine over the 3 port.

I am hopping one day they make it with a pull starter so I can try one in my Savage. Now if I ever get a Hyper ST Pro that is the engine I would get. Where you been Kemo?

Kemo how is the fuel economy on the new 5 port? I know people have a hard time believing what I get on my STS D21B even when they see it. I have no problem doing a 10 minuet C main with a little left over.

people have been saying they get about 8 on a tank, which seems about right. Others have said 10 when they run conservatively.

I've been workin, and hooking up with a battery deal here. I'm getting into selling battery packs and hopefully receiver packs in the future too.
