I'm currently building a t/f p-47 and wondering what engine to use... saito 100 4c, magnum 120 4c, or rcv 90 . Any info would be helpful.

You'll almost certainly have to add weight up front with a 90, that's why I used an OS 120. I've not balanced yet, but even with that engine I'll probably have to add weight due to retractable tail wheel and glass.

You might do a search as there are several posts regarding this issue.

If you have to add weight, it may as well have power!

Good luck,

I've been flying a full house TF P-47 for about 3 years. Using a YS 91 4c and needed no extra weight to balance. I just used a 1000 mah battery undr the fuel tank. Century jet retracts, flaps and full cockpit. Metalized panel finish. Weighs 10 3/4 lbs and flies great!
