I'm hijacking here.

The DZY is a very nice engine, I have one of the 100cc Twins. Except for the rear (left) cylinder running a bit hot (My mistake, my baffling is not all that great) it's a very nice running motor. I have it in a 35% AM Yak, it turns a 26X10 Menz S at 6700rpm (same as a buddies DA) and runs very well. Pulls the 30-pound Yak vertical at 6800" ASL no problem.
It's not as cheap as the Grpro though.

regards
Dries

Hi, I too made the mistake of buyng 2 of these pieces of crap for a dc3 i am building, big mistake the 1st one didnt even last 10oz fuel before it spat the right cylinder off, just pulled the bolts clean out of the c'case and destroyed the piston etc. the 2nd run long enough to get put in an old 101in mustang, lasted 3 minutes before it spat the right side plug, again, pulled the threads. got a helicoil put in, fired it up again and it did the same as the first one, only left cylinder this time. Got onto the seller but still havent heard back after a number of emails, so I guess the warranty isnt worth wiping (_I_) either been an exercise in futility and waste of time and money from now on its 3W or nothing

Hi Guys,

Personally I dont want to hear about your arnts uncles brothers monkey that imports engines,
nor do I want to hear about the different types of this engine getting around, and nor do I want to hear about DA or 3W unless its in comparison to figures pulled on this engine.

This is a HH100T thread!!

Now.. I have a HH100t from Steven , I have run it and I am getting 5900 on a Menz 27x10 with the stock pitts mufflers, the tune is as it came out of the box and it litteraly took 4 flicks, 2 with choke 2 without to get it to start! (run in fuel - Castrol Mineral @ 35:1)

I am stoked with this engine so far. the engine Sucks like nun on sunday! so Stevesworld I would say either your setup was faulty or you did get a dud engine, as mine sucks fuel like crazy. I would like to point out that mine is a Vr3 which is supposed to have a new Carbie, bigger exhaust ports a 3rd Bearing and a new Ign module.

The Trasnition is really nice for run in fuel and no tuning and it is smooth as at both hi and low end rev range.

I will be flying the engine in a few weeks as I have a comp to practice for right now.

I will post flight reports soon but I would say as an honest report on this engine and not what my mum told me my uncle heard someone experianced but from some one who actually bought one.... I am so far very happy!

REMEMBER This is not a DA or 3W engine it is a cheap engine at less than half the price of the high end engines, you can not expect the same output as you get on an engine with lots of $ put into R&D as thats what you get for your money - a refined and very powerfull engine when you buy a DA or 3W.

With a HH or GRPro (whatever you wanna call it) your buying a chinese mass manufactured product that is aimed at the lower end of the market, and for that my expectations were very low or at least reasonable, I am so far very happy with how it runs and have no worrys about flying it. There will be faulty products out there and if you buy from one of the bigger or known sellers your most likely to get a good responce from them, I have had great dealings with Steven (sylvian - EBAY) so far and he has been good on parts for my DL.

If you want a high end high out put engine you must except that its gunna cost, and you should have a look at a DA or 3W etc. If you cant afford these and just want to fly a 100cc size plane try one of these, mine is fine..

I will post again as soon as the maiden has taken place.. Please do not post in this forum as if you know heaps about this engine when you have no experaince with it.

To those of you that have tried it, thank you for your posts and I hope you have some luck in getting any issues sorted.

Cheers,

Stirlo.

all i can say is you are one of the very lucky few that received an engine that ran correctly. wait and see how long it run's before you get to excited.

Hey Sniper,

Mine are set very close to the book, just under 2 1/2 on the low and spot on 1 turn for high.

I hear what your saying StevesRCWorld and Dont want to take away from your bad experiance. However I am saying that so far so good I will deffinatly see what comes of it.. and will post results..

I just want to add that so far there are no signs of fuel leakage, the spark threads are not great but seams to be sealing ok. Oh and the Idle is very smooth and solid at 1300rpm. Look this is not a DA100 and you would be silly to compare them this costs $650Aus Delivered and again so far so good.

There is a pic of it in my Profile Gallery in the ChModel 2.4Mtr Extra 230. It will be maidened in the next few weeks, it has so much power in this plane that I fear for the firewall Pulls Extreamly hard with the Menz 27x10 even @ 5900rpm...

Will try for some vid too...

Hey guy's how about supporting 3W, DA, BME, ZDZ, the pioneers in testing and producing engines that work, not a Chinese company that sits back and copies. NOW I'm very much scolding the man in the mirror because my 100cc Yak,cap, Edge, I know where they came from, but how many times can we keep selling out to the CMPro's.

BTW, just my opinion here, I'm not looking for flames.
Thank you
Frank A Rega

I'de bought one of these engines V3, I cant get it to run, it kicks back a lot. I mounted it inverted on the bench, with mufflers and carb facing up.
Soon I'll try with engine laying correctly.
I'd like to know the right pickup position (how many degrees BTDC) and needle settings.
There were no instructions in the box, can you provide me a copy? tnx in advance
Simone
