Been awhile since Ive checked on the big bore springs, last I seen were purple, softest=blue wis medium and light green ones were the hardest. Last I hear kyosho was going to make more color spring, stiffer and harder ones. For the non big bore shocks they have a rainbow of colors and stifness. The purple ones were way to soft and if they turn any out that are softer than that would be a big waste. Blue and green ones are what I have with purple ones tossed in the junk tool box.
I'll check up on the diffrent springs and se if they have released diffrent rates. Proline now has the lrps in bow tie- crime fighters and hole shots. Thats sweet.

I know when I ordered my blue ones the guy on the phone said the bues were med. to hard. Also that instead of getting the rears all the way around for front and rear due to length issues that they just received in the truggy big bore springs that were the correct length for the front.

When the cop pulls you over doing 160 mph, and asks if you knew how fast you were going say, "yep i had cruise control on".

Nice motor

Question now is How will this beast in an ST-RR fair against the new picco 28 in an LST, on a Track with two drivers that know what there doing?

hmm.. sure does huh

i didnt know they had another picco 28 out when did it come out and do you have a link to it?
LST is more of a monster truck than a truggy unless the guy dumped alot of money into it to compete with triggies. But still i think the kyosho will win.

cant wait til after christmas so i can order the rest of the stuff and hope that the hobbyshops has my odonnell fuel i always get.

Well just got my st-rr in today and another late night building some of it! Boy I tell you guys some pieces are LIGHT on this thing! I am trying to go with Ryan Lutz's setup as my baseline right now as close as I can and see how it is.

Lutz set up from the farm 2 this year is killer. He took TQ by 4 seconds (almost 5) and they thought they heard the siro engine maken a funny noise so they changed the bearings before the A main run. The engine didnt run the same thus ending him in 3rd or 4th place. He ran panthor gators on losi rims too.
A RB928 for the strr, yeeeehhaaaa, youll have all the power and then some. Only draw back will be run time. 30 min main with a .21 at 7:30 equals 4 pit stops vs the .28 and 6 min runs and 5 pit stops. Thats 15 sec behind before they even say go. With some engines running (.21) 8 to 10 min maken only 2 stops gets you behind fast.
I have a werks .28 still new in the box because of the low run times. Looks like it will be heading over to ebay for 200 bucks.
Dont get me wrong, RB makes great engines but you should have went with the C6 engine and got run time plus silly power to boot.
Good luck with the build, post pics too.

I'm sure this has been covered before but I'm feeling abit lazy tonight
In your humble opinions whats the best suited motor for Truggy racing that will stomp on Axiels, Novi Rossi Rex's, Picco .28s and such?
With all this negative feed back I'm very hesitant in even placing the 928 in my work of art Frankenstien ST-RR

Ok I just got off the phone with one of my many LHS owners, and he told me to put the O.S. OS Speed .21VZ-B V-Spec w/21H Slide Carb in my ST-RR instead of the RB928TM
I talked to the guy that sold me the RB and he's willing to give me full credit back for the motor
and order the vspec for me.

Question is, Is this the right thing to do..

putting a 21 in instead is up to you but sending the RB back.. why? keep it and put it in somthing else. You probably will end up buying it again later.. you never know what might come up in the future.

Im running the v-spec (not the 400 or 500 dollar one) vzb blue head and its all stock, just changed the bearings last night. It has plenty of power and great run times. Im wanting the newer aluminum vzb come spring time. The werks .21 b7 team line is pretty insane with good run time too.
If its not going to upset the seller of the 928 Id send it back and grab a .21 OS or the werks or maybe even the c6. If your just going to bash, keep the 928, run time doesnt matter, but if you going to race, your going to want good run time with good power.
