Go with kyosho shocks, not to sure if lst2 shocks will work. They may fit but could also bind or not travel straight.
The strr is well worth the cash. I ran a lsp, that was a tank on the track, next came the jammin srt pro, ok but broke rear a arms on easy jumps, then the mbx5t and I thought that was top of the hill. Its close but the strr surpasses all I have had.
I read some thread that the bevel gears in the strr are bigger than those in the wc sp2 buggies but the diff cases are the same. Not to sure what the heck they mean by that, now Im going to take the sp2 apart and see what the bevel gears measure compared to those on the strr.

I called kyosho today regarding the Diff cups, and kyosho confirmed that the diff cups are the same for the mp777 and st-rr. So I ordered 3 alumi cups for my RR should be here next week.
Also asked kyosho about the bevel gears inside the diffs, cause they felt really lite to me like aluminum lite. but he confirmed that they are indeed steel. They are just coated with something dunno what.
But the HPI bevels are suppose to be better and are also the same, will work in the RR as well.

Received a few more parts today... I am clawing the walls to build this thing already! Everytime I seem to get close to build time, I order something else I gotta wait a week for LOL Doh!

Man you are getting some CRAZY parts for that thing!!! I hope you are a racer spending all that money and not just a basher playing around. You have got to have over $2,000 in that thing. I think the car is just awesome stock out of the box but yours is going to be NASTY when it is done!!

Yeah I race, but there are some times I go out pre-race saturdays to run with my crew and its alot less stressful than race day lol.
Wait until you see the paint scheme I'm working on for this build. Its coming out so unexpectly awsome it may be used just as a show body
I may have to paint another one just to run on the track with.

TB

P.S. I don't want to even add up what I have into her right now. but I can say, yes it is over 2000.00 easy.

well, once again im a bit stuck and unable to start the truck up.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/popup_image.php/pID/6949/image/0

as you can see, the 2045 pipe is suppose to come with the springs and coupler. mines didnt have either of them, just the pipe itself. the manifold came with a coupler and since there was one already on the engine exaust port, i put that on the pipe. its a tight fit where the manifold and pipe join but no springs. Would it still be ok to fire it up since im not going to drive it for the first 2-4 tanks? Not sur eif it would leak or something. Wont get a chance to go to the hobby shop until the weekend maybe or tomorrow if im lucky, but something tells me I will be ordering it...

Youll blow it off. Any hobby shop close? If not, run to home depot or lowes and get some thin wire, that will get you through as long as your not jumping things.

I feel ya Pro, It was 15 degrees here in jersey today. Bbbrrrrr.... wouldn't catch me out there today fiddling with a motor in these temps lol Even if my trug was done! LOL
Mailing must be on a roll, cause I just got in the 2nd half of yesterdays shipment today as well. Too much typing to list, but you can pretty much make out everything new that came in today from the pictures.
if I can remember correctly without looking: Tonys screws, Hinge Pins, diffs oils, shock oil, radio posts, wheel hubs, and extra diff gaskets so I can try Nascars leak proof diff trick Hard to believe that I spent 195
on that particular order. I opened the box today and said.."Thats it? what the heck!" LOL.. but the pins and hubs are pricey. o well
