thanks guys for all the support, It means alot. Unfortunately I didn't have tennant insurance. But since the fire was caused by faulty wiring I will be filing a lawsuit with the owners homeowners insurance company. I'm hoping for the best.

hi guys at this saturday i will get a st-r!!!! yupi!! i am huppy!!! so i have a lot of questions!! for start the st-r that i will get is used from a race guy here in the local track in the 4 races he win at the 3!! the st-r that he will give me is in top condition with the conversation from the kyosho to be st-rr!!! so it is a st-rr without the big bores and the lightweight cvd's! he will give me also two bodies one with skins from upgrade, two wings, two sets of wheels and tires, two ring-pinions, the old cassis, one main cvd, spare rear cvd, one more set of rubber seal bearings, spare sponges for the filter, two set of shoes(carbon, metal),plastic spare parts but he will give it to me without engine and servos!!! but all clean and top condition and with his set-up. so i post here to suggest me some tips,tricks,hop-ups. First for servos i will choose for steering ACE DS1015 for throttle ACE DS1313,Dynamite blue metal servo horns, battery pack maybe a marathon 1600 or 1600 protek or 2500 stickman, for engine maybe a lrp z.28r spec3 truggy with ceramic bearings or a picco 28, also what else you suggest me?? but cheap and not crap! just for a starter in racing!!!

so can you help me at this situation?

You cant go wrong with the ACE servo's. you just want to make sure that you have a good reciever pack to power them both for long enough. I'm running the LRP Spec 3 in my ST-R and for the money I like it alot. Other than that, the only thing I would consider are the BB shocks, but first race it and see how it goes, mine is still swb and standard shocks and it is competitive around here. The ST-R/RR is a great truggy, I know you are already a Kyosho fan, so have fun with it

Sorry to hear that TB, hope all goes well for you in the lawsuit.

Nascar, thats a great idea, i need to find a screw with a head flat enough so the axle wont hit against it.

Winner, does it have st-rr gears? if not upgrade those, bigbore shocks, and the front knuckles if you break one because thats considered the weak point of the truck. For steering servo, dont get anything that has less the 200 oz torque. id say get the picco since they been around longer than team associated has been making engines(LRP), or the Jammin since its the same motor but with a better carb i think, read alot of posts about carb issues with the picco but still not sure if its that bad or not.

Will, you can get the conversion kit at amainhobbies.com But it doesnt come with the st-rr gears, shocks, its just the chassis, rear brace, rear center axle, cnc knuckles($80 alone if brought seperate), and st-rr wing thats longer than the st-r.

Will, i have the werks racing clutch on my truck and i have been very pleased with it. Its like an off-road centax clutch, literally, very easy to adjust and maintain. Havent used the stock clutch so i couldnt say how it would hold up. heres the link to the conversion kit.

Winner, The st-rr gears are made of the same metal as used in full size cars, there were issues with the old st-r gears and that been addressed with the new st-rr. you want to get these.
