this is the truggy that he will give me! (without engine, servos)

if you plan on using the big bores .you will have to replace the outdrive axles with the new thinner ones to allow room for the big bores.
im saying this because in this photo it looks lie you are running the older driveshafts<note the chrome cvd's>the new ones are thinner and are chrome moly'ed

Also need new shock bushings..

Front drive shaft poped out again (3rd time all together), and this time i had the st-rr drive axle installed. Well it happens when i land hard on the front end and on throttle trying to upright the truck before hitting the ground. Next i will replace the cups on the diff because they may b worn.

Winner, if you go with one of those .21s id say get it modded so it can run close to a .28 and still have the great fuel milage of a .21

..You guys must race on huge tracks with tons of traction..On my ST-RR I run a Novarossi plus 21-7BT and no I repeat no .28 pulls me anywhere on my track..not even the .28 OS. On the street or somewhere where you can get traction it would but on all the tracks I run at a strong .21 is more than enough..In fact I pull the buggies down the straight..Losi 8's with the OS speeds in them..I'm hooking up the power with a .21, I ran a .28 for a while but for me it was a bit much and it encouraged stupid driving on my part..In fact most Pros run .21's..Oh did I happen to mention that the ST-RR is definitely bad a**..owned em last night at the races..

i agree with you on that !i think modded motors waste too much power! if its not connecting to the track then its a waste

got the os-speed broke in this weekend at a localsoccer field beside a local bmx track. startup was pretty non eventful besides havin to lean both needles 2-3 full turns just to get it started! by tank 7 i started leaning it out a decent amount to let it finally break into the midrange but still runnin blubbery, she is fast already just from 1/2 throttle bursts! what a sweet motor!
