New to boards here. Bought a ST-R on ebay for $177 in amazing condition. Also bought 2 Airtronics 94358's ($36 & $40 from ebay, also got a free 94357 from a shipping mistake) for steering and brakes. I will slowly be building this one up, I have a Losi 8ight that I currently race @ Revelation in socal. Some upgrades will probably be one piece motor mounts, possibly an STS .28 & Pipe, a spektrum upgrade for my M8.

Welcome aboard sandmtrailboss. I got my str for 187 shipped alittle over a year ago. First upgrade was a longer chassis then big bore shocks. Just converted it into a strr at half the cost. Looks like your well on your way af doing the same thing.

Hello again

Please suggest me wheels for this tires I'm not sure about the wide.
I'm thinking about 1/2 offset, but may be not suitable for my Inferno ST. Any ideas?

I think 1/2 offset for the shorter wheelbase ST, would make it too wide, personally I would run zero or standard offset, something like these

Proline LPR

But, you could try these

JConcepts Rulux

if you have the inferno buggy hubs (narrow) on your truggy

Cheers

Actually, come to think of it, with the ST, you have either 14mm or 19mm hubs if you have not changed it (14mm hub, witha 19mm adapter over it). I dont know of any LPR sized wheels that will fit your truggy.

You would need to change over to 17mm hubs and driveshafts

Thank you very much. Factory is with 14mm and adaptor 19mm as you said. But I got 17mm hubs, so all I have to do now is to buy the black wheels

Mine are 12mm offset when running zero offset, stock with half offset rims. You for sure dont want the half offset rims and the 12mm offset hubs. I done that once at a club race and it looked like my truggy took up the whole running lane. We were just goofing around.
Short clip of my son (12) running his sp2 at our local track.

Killer thread. Lot's of good info.

I just purchased a ST-R for 275.00 came with a mach 26 motor futaba S9351 S9350 servo's converted screw kit (to eliminate the philips) A killer OFNA starter box and tons of spare parts. Just missing a controller.

So here is my question after going to the local tracks and running my xxx-t I realized I simply had to get a 1/8 scale nitro truggy. The car has not been ran in a while so what steps should I do before I take this bad boy out?

What is a good priced controller I should run with this? Im not racing yet.....so I am looking for something affordable.

Ill get some pics up after work today.

Thanks for the info. I just placed an order for the dx3.0 at amainhobbies. Should have it for the weekend. The free second reciever was the deal sealer for me.

Just starting out in racing so no need for a 400 dollar radio, however is you can afford one, 3pk or the 4pk futaba. If cash holds you back for now, spektrum dx2 or dx3 are good. Just need one thats 2.4ghz system, that way you can run without the worry of radios conflicting with another radio.
Theres alot of good info on this thread
