I'm looking into getting the st-rr and wanted to know where they have the best price for this kit. Just wanted to ask so I can use all my resources.

Thank You

pot metal c-hubs gotta go right off the bat!!
thats the only minus about the kit
i have some kyosho cnc hubs to go on it!

Do you mean hubs, or knuckles? I would have thought the knuckles would be the only things to upgrade to CNC ones.

By the way, the build looks awesome, I love this thing. Oh yeah, one other thing, did the kit come with the extended hubs?

I just recently purchased the Kyosho st-r extended chasis kit with an RB 9.28tm, I have yet to put it together though as I'm waiting for everything else I need to finish the build in one shot. servos, batt etc.
I figured I'd check out the threads and school up on the truggy. but all I'm finding out is after spending 650 on a kit that doesn't come with motor or electrics, and a 550.00 modded motor, is that everyone seems to be upgrading all of the original parts anyway. In my opinion, you get what you pay for. So please fill me in as to what on the pro kit has to be upgraded and what doesn't.
I'm reading about the chasis mainly. but I'm sure there are other issues that I should address. Also with the power plant I've chosen I was told that I will be going through clutches like mad. an upgraded clutch that I won't have to change after every run will be great too.

Tweedy

the werks racing clutch is a 4 shoe type and you have 3 options as to what shoes you want to get depending on longetivity and grab. go on amainhobbies.com and look them up under engine accesories. Also look at the fioroni and RMV clutches.

I think whats tossing old boy of on thinking its not a strr is the black color uv shafts to the hubs. On the str they are chrome and if you run a str with big bore shocks youll have to upgrade to those drive shaft. They arnt as think but twice as strong as the chrome ones.
Its looking good so far. Only things I would upgrade are the front carriers to the cnc ones and a set of king headz toe blocks (2-2.5-3 degrees). Mine isnt a true strr, I put the BCE chassis vs the kyosho one. Everything eles is stock.
I didnt like the werks clutch system and went back to the ofna 3 shoe set up but thats just drivers choice.
Post more pics once its done. Remember, take your time now, race it later.

The hubs do not have nuts on them at the moment. And the Universals are black.
