i dont like blue thunder because its all synthetic and if you run a little bit to lean it can ruin your engine, get a fuel with castor oil in it

Can make one-way bearing slip like crazy. BT and Traxxas fuels are notorious for this.

I would stay away from Blue Thunder. When I was running it my engine would easily overheat and the tuning was very inconsistent. I run Trinity Platinum and thats good fuel and I recommend it. But everyone has their own opinion on which fuels are good and bad. What fuel do you currently run?

I also am staying away from blue thunder, That fuel was such a pain in the ass to tune with (i'll be it i changed fuels) Im not a big fan of BT. My....

#1 fuel is Hpi power fuel,
When i had Just brought home a T-maxx i got from a friend, he was running either blue thunder or Trinty monester. But once i switch to Hpi's fuel and gave it a re-tune, that 2.5r engine really came to life. But the only down side to this is im not sure if Hpi sells in gallons or just quarts.

#2 Trinty monster fuel
Ranges from 20 to 35% nitro. Not really a bad fuel but IMO doesnt give me as much power as Hpi unless i switch nitro %

Just a side note. its better to buy a gallon of fuel vs a Qt.

Blue Thunder HPI Power fuel double . If some ever try a really good fuel like Byron they will see the difference. HPI has WAY to much oil!

I agree. Byrons and ODonnels are excellently blended fuels. I highly recommend these. Another good fuel that I personally really enjoy is Rocket Science. This fuel, from what I feel, is equal to Byrons and ODonnels. This fuel is not widely available, so you will have to ask your local RC store to order it for you.

It was probably a tuning error. Also, the new BT Sport blend is pretty good. It is made to not damage your engine if u run it too lean. I've used it for a week now and i like it.
