I will try to help you. I have been running SimJets for 9 years.

When the engine gets very hot during a startup, you can sometimes hear the turbine wheel ticking against the the EGV. It is nothing to worry about. Just let the engine cool down. Disconnect the fuel pump and simulate a start on propane only. If the ticking noise is not there when the engine is running on propane, you have nothing to worry about. Connect the fuel pump and start your engine again. (Don't let the engine run on propane longer than necessary.)

Why did it make a hot start?
