I was looking at the .60 size Hangar9 Miss America for $254. I have seen the Nitro Models Miss America .60, when it's available, for $125..
The specs are the same.. so why the Big diff in price.. I have heard much good about Nitro Models quality being good, so I am curious if the quality is still good for this price.... Best Regards, Monkey Gutz

It is a classic "take it or leave it" situation. Some like the H9 some like the bargain......I' d go for the bargain. It all look the same don't they?

If it was me, I'd build the Top Flite P51 and end up with something I''d be proud to own.

The H9 really is a better quality airframe. I have owned both and sold the Nitro because of the quality. But quality to some is different than to others. The $100.00 difference in price was worth it to me but to many that would not be the case. They may all look the same in the air but when building and the quality of the planes are way different. I have also owned the World Models P-51D and it falls somewhere in between the Nitro and H9.

If you have the time and $$$ I agree, build the Topflight. They are really Sweet flyers. But when it crashes (and they all do) it will hurt alot more.

I cant speak for the bargain mustang, but I do have a H-9 and it's a great flyer with no bad habbits, the only thing I did do to the airframe, was too coat the gas tank compartment with thinned epoxy.
I changed the tail wheel to the scale location, and added a tony howard dummy exhaust to improve the looks the tail wheel is not retractable but it looks better than the stock configuration hanging off the tail.

I've seen the nitro models p51, the one painted like a blue jersey cow, fly and was very impressed. If you put it next to the top flite mustang on the ground there is no comparison, but in the air it looks good.

Put a fast .90 on it and join the extreme speed guys.

no my pilot didn't bail out, funny.
that photo was my maiden flight day for the stang, what I have done is I purchased this pilot bust from nitro-models for 7.50$ actually I got 2 of em,one for my H-9,P-40 and one for the mustang http://www.nitroplanes.com/rcmodelpilot5.html good detail, horrible paint scheme, other than the face.
I painted the jacket and some other details.
I did a little repaint job for each one some small detail changes makes them each look different this one's going into the mustang the stock one has a green jacket and some funny colors,a grey scarf, red mae vest but for the cost and a hour of painting they look pretty good
