Well first off I want to tell you that this engine will go in a Morris Hobbies Top Cap. I want to know what you guys think will be a good engine for it, I have already picked a few that I like, one being a rossi .45 with a tuned pipe and header, but I hear that it is old stuff now-a-days, and my other choice would be the ys .45, now I hear that engine would be awsome with it, does anybody have any suggestions???

I have been very happy with my new MVVS .40 with mini-pipe. Stong little engine - it has had about three tanks and on a very rich setting it pulls a 10x6 APC (abt 60 F and 1,000 ft and 30%humidity) it showed 14K. Next time out I will lean it more. I'm sure it will reliably spin that at 14.5K. All this on 5% Omega. They don't need or want high nitro.

Want more? I have heard there .45 and .49 are great as well. By the way the power is not the most impressive things about these engines - it is the instant throttle response. They are instant.

My only complaint is the noise - the mini pipe setup is very loud.

I have three of these engines and once you seal the carb leak and get it broke in it runs great. Lots of power.
They have good support also.
I lost a muffler besause of the screw breaking in flight. They sent me a whole new muffler assy.
They are reasonable in price too.

If your willin to spend the money on a YS.45, try a Irvine 53 or a webra.50, give ya plenty of grunt.

The Jett Super Sport .40 is the best sport .40 on the market. Not cheap, but the best. The Y.S. .45 is also an excellent choice but I just heard a few days ago that Y.S. is discontinuing their .45 2-stroke.
