I have run my aerofly deluxe pro with upgrades without problem on my desktop computer after a graphics card upgrade.

I have new dell laptop with faster processor running vista home premium and ATI 256K video and it is suppost to support graphics intensive program much the same as xp media edition. Aerofly deluxe pro will not run. I get first screen up when any thing is selected from menu like fly, or airplane, or controls, it crashes

Has anyone successfuly run aerofly using vista? using dell 1501 / ATI 256 video?

Bob

I have the same computer and mine is the entry level with the sempron 32 bit processor and it has a ATI radeon Xpress 1150 chipset, this is integrated into the mother board. Your computer should have the same, up to 3 nights ago mine wouldnt run either, the main problem was this video chipset wouldnt support Open GL graphics only DirectX3d. When checking the ATI website I found a upgrade for these cards/chipsets in this dell computer. This new upgrade supports OpenGL which is what AFPD requires. I downloaded this and mine now works. You have to install AFPD into a directory like this, C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe. You also have to run the install in administative mode becuase of VISTA. Good Luck
