I can't figure this one out.. first off the facts...

I'm using a futaba 6exh transmitter, I'm trying to make an Axe CP fly. This is where everythign goes bad for me... I've got the same frequency in the Axe as on the transmitter. Now, we're using the stock reciever for the heli, I've got the motor unplugged and as soon as I get through the transmitter/reciever problem I'll go on. When I started the swap, I looked at the movement in servos and swash from the stock setup and wrote everything down. I set up the transmitter (a guess anyhow) and everything seems to work, here is the exception:

the right stick is supposed to control forward/aft cyclic and the left should control the speed (along with moving the swash down on the main shaft), my problem is these two sticks are reversed! Everything moves fine, as it should, except, the sticks are reveresed.

do I need to go with a futaba reciever? is it something in the transmitter programming? Am I losing my mind????

thanks guys!

flip the switch on the tx for the servo. if it's in normal then switch it to reverse. and vice versa

no, it's not reverse movement, the sticks are reversed from what they are supposed to be controlling..

for example..

push forward on the throttle, it's moving my swashplate like it would to give forward cyclic...

push forward on the cyclic and it moves the swash up and down like the servo's move it when you give it throttle..

Is the Axe CP an eCCPM heli, or is it mCCPM? If M, you should be able to swap the throttle lead with the elev. lead. - If not I dunno, that would take some thought and I'm not really wanting to think right now.

Yeah... sounds like your in the wrong "MODE"

Radios have two MODES, in each mode the sticks are reversed. Its those crazy pilots on the european continent (especially the French) who fly in the mode that has the throttle on the right stick. Then again don't european helis spin their rotors in the opposite direction too???

Just switch your Radios mode.

ok, I can switch the stick modes (it's in 2)...

but if I make changes to this, won't it make changes to all the models?

Damn - sounds almost like you have the wrong mode transmitter - where'd you get the TX? Is it mode 1 or mode 2?

You need to put teh swash mode to 3S if it is not already. I think the default on my 6EXH was 1S, the Axe is 3S.

Secondly, disconnect all the servos and start over.

Pitch and throttle are mixed still have their respective channels 3 and 6. On the front panel of the 6EXH is the list of channels.

It's a simple fix, you just have the channels mixed up. Swap the connectors for channels 2 and 6.

Yes, that is the whole point. you want mode 1 for all.

ok, the swash is in 3S, I'll give the swap a try..

I am in mode 2 by the way, but I'm afraid that if I switch that to something else, it may effect my other models, that wouldn't be good.

then that will make the sticks wrong for my MX400..

this can't be the answer then!

What other models do you have on there?

Mode 1 is the correct mode, not mode 2.

For now, don't change the connectors. Try it out first.

Wait a minute, are the sticks correct on the MX400?
