Status: offline 		This video was sent to me by a young flier from Lithuania named Donatas. This video is of the PO7 sequence. Donatas actually won the contest with the Vanquish flying against 2 meter designs.

Status: offline 		Thanks for posting this Chris ! I guess it was my day, wind was calm and plane flew dreamlike. After seeing what pleasure is to fly electric pattern i don't want get back to glow... If only wind let me i will continue to use Vanquish in competitions, also hope to compare vanquish this September in Poland championship in Torun.

Status: offline 		A better pattern plane in this size doesn't exist. This one flies like my own 2 meter. Only difference I can feel is in the rudder.

I'm going over to pick up a couple tomorrow...can't wait!!!

Status: offline 		I just picked up a couple of these things yesterday. WOW the quality is amazing!

I really don't have the time to dive in and get these things going just yet, but in about a week or 2, I will. I know there have been threads on this plane, but I am going to take a somewhat different approach. I'm shooting for a 700w set up to give this thing every ounce of power it needs to fly the FAI and masters sequences with ease. I'll be using my own motors and controllers (for the moment) and using Vampower batteries exclusively. Vampower packs are the only battery to come down the pike that has truly imressed be so far. The beef with batteries has always been reliability and power....and so far from what I've seen, the platinum series packs will take a beating power-wise and keep right on going. I have some for my foamies and some larger packs for some larger planes I'm playing with, and so far I have nothing but good things to say about them.

For this plane I will probably start off with the 4s2200 and see what kind of punch vs weight vs time I get.

Too bad they don't make a YS DZ in this size

Status: offline 		This is the best electric plane I have ever flown, it feels so much bigger than it actually is and flies with such precision.

I'm running the 4S 2100 packs and these give some serious power in this plane and with the torque motor, perfect power to weight and the model handles the wind suprisingly well and all manouevres are rock solid and with the quality of the model makes the whole job a joy to build and fly.

What amazed me the most was the fact that it performed both 3d and f3a very well, very few in any hybrid models perform aswell as the vanquish!

Status: offline 		Vanquish is winner in his class, now can't wait till 2m version came out, this will be chalange for all top F3A designs.

RC friends Adi Kohav, John Glezellis, Me and Ido Segev with my Vanquish affter demo flight at EXFC.


Graham you are right Flight power 4S 2100mah packs are perfect for Vanquish, crazy power and light weight.

Video is short because this is material only from first two flights. Flight Power 20C 2500mah 3S packs are amazing, good power for ~7-9min 3D.
