The plane in these pictures is still officially the Air Vehicle Number 1, a prototype, onboard the USS George Washington CVN-73 for catapult fit checks. Not exactly still Top Secret, but certainly not yet made public.
It will be known as the F/A-37. Although specs are classified, it is believed to be Mach 3.5 (top speed in the Mach 4 range), super-cruise stealth fighter/bomber/interceptor with approximately a 4,000nm range. Awesome!
Check out the Navy test pilot in the cockpit of the F/A-37...LT Kara Wade.

Fairly cool looking but I'm not a believer. Lt Kara Wade is wearing some funky kinda helmet and certainly not any kind of US Navy uniform that I've ever seen.

Well heres a few fotos for those who could not make the trip! Please look close at the rudder of the last picture as you can see small blue flecks! very ubique and there is a great story behind this aircraft! And that is Patty Wagstaff in Jim Beasley's 51. She put on a great show! More tomorrow...

I am relocating to Columbus and have family in town but we were driving out to check out our new house and we saw a very stunning sight on the horizon which eventually flew directly over us. Four P-51's in formation around a B-17.
