Just a question,,,, If I wanted the most speed from a small plane, what should I use between these two? The BigMig .061RC, or the Start Up .061? I have both of these and the rc seems faster.

I don't really need throttle.

Status: offline 		The one you really want is the AME o61, are the ones you have both revlite??? they seem to run a little faster than the aan early ones, the AME's have 3 ports and are lower in the clyd. the migs are 5 port and are higher in the clyd,

Status: offline 		I agree. I've got a few of both the AME and BigMig versions and the AME's produce more power.

Status: offline 		I have the new revlite BM .061 and Startup .061. They both run better than the old style AME .061 I had. I think it was the AAN mentioned earlier. It had small cyl fins. It said AME on the papers. However, The sticker on the box said "AME .061 RC (B6R)". I understand the AME should be (A6R). Is this correct?

Status: offline 		I strongly suggest that it's time for you to buy a tach and start keeping track of prop and engine figures. It's not completley about rpm figures but it's sure related. Also do some searches for "f1j" or "f1j engine" and see what comes up. I doubt if there's anything making more horsepower than these 1cc hotrods these days. The AME used to be the F1J darling but things have changed I'm sure.

Once you have the engine it'll be a case of testing on the model. More pitch offers more speed potential but only if the engine can turn the prop at the right rpms. It's all about compromises again. This is pretty basic stuff but I don't know what level you're starting from.
