Hello!
I have a V3 Lama helicopter and it seems that everytime I fly it I break or chip a blade(s). I am not even crashing the helicopter. If it lands funny or bumps into something I lose a blade or two. Is there anything I can do to strengthen the blades or get some different ones that will take a little punishment? I know they are made to break away with hard contact, but they won't take any abuse. My friend has a E-flite Blade and his blades seem so much thicker and stronger. Thanks!

I not sure on Lama blades, but don't think EFlite Blade are any better. If you touch something with them, the plastic peels off easily, ruining the blades.

I think he meant the BCX blades not the BCP blades, but still, the BCX blades are like potato chips. I did find that they break less often if you put some electrical tape on the leading edge wraping it equally top and bottm.

I have a Lama V4 and I've gone through a lot of blades too. Mostly the bottom ones. There are blades for the Lamas called Xtreme blades which are crash resistant and last a long time from some of the threads I've read. Does anyone know if there are any US dealers that sell the Xtremes? I know they are available from miraclemart in Hong Kong.

have you tried repairing broken rotor blades? i have the CX2 and i don't think the rotor blades are any thicker/better than any other co-axial

i do it[repair] all the time..sometimes up to 3 times til its in shreds...i can't tell you how much $$ i've saved

im a bit better flyer now and don't break them so much but still do repairs as if you fly you will somehow
crash..lol...

i did upgrade to xtreme blades just to try but was not happy with it..it was out of balance and so heavy it reduced my flying time...now i can't say for others
as they absolutely love xtreme blades for its performace and durability...im now back to stock eflite blades.
check my web for instructions/pictorial on how to repair
