Status: offline 		It does not matter if Steve should or should not have been fired, I've read enough on several forums now to see this point clearly.

The problem here is that Cherry lost his temper, which is unacceptable for a man in his position. Even if Steve were a terrible employee you never ever take action out of anger. Steve has suggested that he was not allowed to have the conditions of the situation reviewed and considered. As an employer this is something you simply cannot do when taking action against an employee. If there is a shred of truth to Steve's side of the story the only way to interpret this is Steve was squashed, that is what you do to someone you percieve as a threat, you squash them the first chance you get. And then, you bury all the bodies and put up a smoke screen. If Steve is really the guy that many, many people on these forums say he is, he will probably not pursue legal action thinking that it will only hurt the hobby and the AMA. The only way Steve will be vindicated and or we will find out the truth is if we push for it, with enough support we can find out what really happened here.

If you guys are really serious about finding out the truth or taking action on this matter don't let anyone stop you.

What really has me wondering is, if there was no impropriety then why the smoke screen.

It appears that you are right about this. They don't need to come onto RCU and post........just whisper in the ears of a couple of the AMA choirboys "what needs to be said" toward that end, and it's done. No exposure to pesky 'attributability,' 'accountability' and such.

There is no way on God's green earth that the "AMA choirboys" or any one else for that matter, are going to reveal anything that would change the minds of those suffering from chronic red ass about the AMA, how it is run, AMA charted clubs or anything remotely related to the AMA or organized modeling. They should form their own organization if they are not happy with the AMA because they don't have the clout to make any changes even if they could define what they wanted changed.

I agree completely with STL here. I discovered one issue a while back and had it confirmed last night. You absolutely DO NOT want what you are asking for.

Status: offline 		Very amusing thread!!!! It starts off with someone hearing that SK was let go under strange circumstances and asking if anyone knew about it.

Several replied saying that if that was so then it seemed uncalled for & that since SK seems to be a very respectable person they would like to know from the ama what the circumstances were.

A couple replied saying that there's no way the ama would do that along with some references.

JR replied basically saying there's more to it and we're not telling.

SK himself didn't even post until #46 to say what had happened and then he's only posted once not coming back to defend or add to the post.

**seems that since SK posted then it should be considered alright for the ama to post their view**

People still asking for the ama to post what happened.

People speculating that he was let go as a show of power!!!!

A few saying basically that they know some details and everything isn't being told.... Kind of like, I know more than you, na na na na na & if you ever see it any other way than in favor of the ama you have a chronic red **** towards the ama

There's all kinds of rumors but the only fact presented has been SK saying that he was terminated and why. Everything else has been second hand.... (unless anyone here was there when it happened??)

Let me say this, Steve's gone. Dave's going away. The EC has some new blood. The only negative thing for the AMA is what SK has done and the people who stick up for him and do not give the new AMA a chance.
