Hello,
I just purchased a used ZDZ 80RV with about 20 flights on it. Engine looks brand new. The guy I bought it from said he ran Pennzoil synthetic threw it. Would it hurt the engine to change oil? I have a lot of Amsoil and want to use it. I was thinking of running it at about 40 to 50:1 ratio. Just do not want to hurt this engine. Thanks

i think rcshowcase tells u not to use amsoil i would give Mike at RCshowcase a call to find out the deal.

We recommend Pennzoil Outdoor 2 Cycle, Yamalube 2S, Mobil 2T, Honda HP2, Belray H1R, Blenzall, Redline racing, Klotz R/C Model Lube etc etc.....be safe and just run 32:1 (4.0 ounces/gallon) for the life of the engine.

Thanks for the reply. I searched on here to see if anyone had or was using Amsoil on these engine and there were a bunch. Some are even running 80 to 100:1 on these engines. I know this has to void the warranty. What is in Amsoil that is so bad? I also have some Castrol TTS fully synthetic 2-Stroke sitting around. Anyone used this oil? Also, what branch of store carries that Pennzoil? Thanks for the help guys.......

What would be the best overall synthetic oil to run on the 80RV? Is the Pennzoil synthetic? I am not taking any chances with the Amsoil after reading so many problems and concerns. Thanks for the help.
