I dont know EXACTLY what caused the diff problem, but I do know it wasnt from use.Maybe from me holding it by the bar.All I know is that if the motor problem wasnt there, neither would the diff problem. The more I think about it the more I get so Im going to get off here and check that screw.I will let you know how it goes with CEN tomorrow.Peace out TRD

Its not the grub screw, not the news I wanted Paying close attention now I think its the center diff.I didnt pay close attention when it happened. All I knew is that my new truck was broke and I was very I will put some fuel in the morning and do a coupole test to find the exact place where the breakage is.Is it possible for it to be the center diff and still have front wheel drive?

Hey Derrick' have you checked the o-rings on the carb and the on the needles or it could be a faulty fuel tank, all it takes is a small hairline crack or fracture in the tank to cause tuning problems. If you would like to change the tank I have a spare that I can send you! It's kind of hard to diagnose the problem with out hearing it run, But whatever the problem..we can help you

Havent checked the o-rings but think the needles are good because there still nice and tight. Not loose like one thats worn.Didnt think the o-ring could be an issue on a brand new vehicle.Absolutely sure that the tank isnt cracked. How about my diff problem mysteriously disappeared I dont know what happened but the last time I drove,I only had front WD.As I was trying to pinpoint the problem it worked.Ran a whole tank to make sure and she pulled a slight wheely on every blip of the throttle Not quite sure what to make of that.I will take it for now and hope it doesnt reappear.

Okay now that I can think without being frustrated,I think I can make a little sense.Though everybody pointed to the carb,I have come up with a strong possibility, well not me,but TRD suggested it before, but when I started tuning with the wheels off the ground, what he said about bad clutch springs makes sense.I will admit that I really didnt think that was possible on a brand new $600.00 vehicle Learn something new every day.Reason I say this is because with the wheels in the air,I can tune her down perfect with wheels still spinning. As soon as she touches the ground she shuts off.Its like the clutch is engaged at all times.Should have paid attention before but I was MAD AS A HORNET at the fact that my new truck didnt work right.I have to go now.Its 12pm here wich means its 9am there.TIME TO CALL CEN

BINGO! PROBLEM SOLVED Took the clutch off after speaking with cen and there was two clutch shoes freely dangling.Pulled them off and there was the remains of two broke clutch springs.Didnt think this was possible on a new vehicle but as KEN told me today, anything is possible in this hobby.Sure wish that were there thinking on my other deal but oh well.Thank you CEN for great customer service once again.Special thanks to KEN WU.Cant leave out TRD,he called it out from the start but I was to and bullheaded at the time, but once I calmed down and started thinking like a rational person,I realized something,CANT GO WRONG WITH THE DOG Thanks again for everybodys help.CEN will have my parts on the way and this will be the end of this thread.

I only had one spring break on mine since I had it, but clutch spings breaking on any vehicle is not uncommon...I also upgrade the clutch shoes to thees.

Na Derrick I've had my nemi for,,, geeze going on about 1 1/2yrs and never had a problem with my clutch springs. I have replaced my piston and sleve twice tho. This incedent with your springs is pretty rare.. Thats what I meant by your bad luck with this truck..

What do mean 2 piece setup?? Clutch??

I mean like the two peice clutch assembly found on my MT SPEC 3.0,I think that set up is more trouble free.I have never had a clutch problem with that set up.I ran 3 full tanks today with two clutch shoes.Got her tuned the way shes supposed to be in my book, nice and smoothe.Im thinking of continuing to run two shoes by choice. Not quite as snappy off the line but good enough for me.Im all for anything that causes less stress on the drivetrain without sacraficing TOO MUCH performance.I finally got to enjoy my truck today.Im still on a high from it.Let me know if theres a two peice available for the nemesis.

derrick,

No there is no 2 shoe clutch for the Nemi, This truck is just too heavy for only 2 shoes you need more surface tension to move this beast. However there is an aluminum clutch shoe setup offer by CEN direct and Nova. Supposed to offer harder engagment and wear less. But I'm totally convinced of that. The Nova kit does offer adjustability by adding grub screws of different length and wieght to fine tune the engagement. There are several here that has used the aluminum shoes with mixed results. I think that really depends on your driving style and surfaces. Just my hands off observations..
Like I said earlier I dont think you need that, as your experience is something of a fluke, my clutch shoes are holding up VERY well after 1 1/2 year of hard abuse!!!! I do tale good care of my shoes by cleaning the glaze out from inside the bell with brake cleaner and sanding the bell and shoes with 220grit paper and then rinsing them them off with brake cleaner again..I also check and clean the bearings religously(sp).

Hope this helps some
