I have a Futaba 4YBF transmitter. Went flying last weekend. I installed a freshly charged battery and when I turned on the transmitter, both the red and green lights came on. The manual says to replace ( or I presume re-charge) the battery when the red light flashes. I removed the battery and installed a different, freshly charged battery. Turned on the switch, and both lights were on again. Everything seemed to be working properly, so I did a range check with the antenna retracted, out to at least 150 feet, and everything was working properly. I went ahead and flew five times with no problems. I then changed the batteries in the radio and receiver. Flew four more times, with no problems. I e-mailed Futaba on Monday, but they have not responded. So, has anyone ever had the same problem with this model radio? Any suggestions on what I should check? And by the way, in the past, I have ran the transmitter battery down to the point that the red light started flashing.
Thanks,
Peter

There is nothing wrong with your radio. When the transmitter's battery is fully charged, both the red and green light should be on. When the battery runs out, the green light will go out and the red light will remain. That is when you should charge.

Thanks for the help. I finally looked at Futaba's FAQ and found the same answer. So everthing is good. I just seem to remember that the red light was not on before, just the green. And the red would start flashing when the battery got low. Guess I screwed up
Thanks again.
