This plane can go very very fast you can see it here http://www.rcuvideos.com/item/B70B4CT4BJVVP6JL using DS-51 90mm combined with NeuMotor 1515/1.5Y, the videos links on Tam website may not show the speed of the plane when it pass low.

Also if you want a charger for the lipo batteries for up to 10s you can use http://shop.eflypower.com/shop/views.asp?hw_id=1242 it has very nice features Also it is cheap

Awesome Gregg! now I'm jealous!!!
you almost lost it at the end of the landing

Can you tell something about your experience assembling the kit ? did you need any mod to complete it ?

Lot's of reading and info.

I received the F-16, and when I opened the package I was surprised by the quality and finish it is my first Tam jet and I'm extremely happy with it not only the kit is outstanding, even the hardware that comes with it are outstanding.

recently I received the Tam mini retracts and WOW it is made from high quality materials.

I Hope I will start building very soon but i'm very busy with work these days

I've seen every thing and really it is very easy and fast to build, most of the hard work was done by tam. it only needs to assemble retracts , put inside the servo and engine no hassle there.

But I wonder about 2 things:

1- what are the sizes of the gears doors? length, width and distance from each others. Because the CD manual only show the distance from the inlet to nose gear.

2- what is the best power and what it does need to operate the receiver and servos ? because I'm only experienced with ESC that has BEC but the CC ESC include has no BEC.

I use an 4 cell 1100ma rx pack. Anything between 1000-1500ma will do the job.
As far as the gear doors, I used cut outs for the gear instead of the doors. E mail Tam and he can give you the exact sizes.

Have fun with the build.

Thanks for the info gregg, I noticed on your video that you use cut out.

and sure I will enjoy building it and I will enjoy more when it fly

As soon as i get the info from Tam I will start cutting the gear door and go to the shop tobend the gear rods.

I will post photo for every step. I will work very slow until I have more free time from work.

I have thunderbirds, love it! easily the fastest best flying plane I own. And yeah you cant appreciate the speed in the vid till you see it in person. Jumps off the ground, goes way too fast! and you can throttle back and fly for a nice long flight if you want, who could ask for more!
