Mikado Logo 10? I thinking of purchasing one..... is it good for beginers? Hovering? 3D? Wind? :confused:

Hi Aviv,

The LOGO 10 is a joy to own! I recommend it for newbies over the LOGO 20 (which I also like) because it's smaller size is less intimidating and 12 cells is a lot easier to support from a cost and charging standpoint. It uses many of the robust parts from the LOGO 20 rotor head. Its quiet and smooth hovering gives a satisfying feeling and it is very stable in winds for heli its size.

3D? I don't think I'm doing it yet:) But recently I've been able to do 6 or more consecutive elevator flips (5000' ASL & temperatures around freezing), which is good indicator of available power. When you are outfitting it, remember to keep it as light as possible (i.e., use the UBEC and an aluminum rotor head shaft for thrust bearings)

Get a motor to suit the type of flying that you will be doing for the near future. Do not buy the hottest motor if you aren't the hottest of pilots:)

Hi Sil,

I get 5 to 5-1/2 minutes with a hot setup, practicing multiple flips, etc., using 13 x RC2400 cells, at 5000' ASL. An "interet buddy" just went to a tamer setup and reported 8-1/2 minute flights using 12 of the new 2600 NiMH cells.

It takes 21- 22 minutes for my Orbit Microlader Pro charger to charge these packs at 8 amps or so. In the summer one needs 3 packs - one flying, one charging, and one cooling. I'm currently getting away with using 2 packs in the cool winter weather, because my battery cooling tube (small fan pulling air through a 4" tube) cools off the pack quickly enough to be able to be put back on the charger as soon as the other pack is charged.
